I am also practical to a fault. I understand that stuff happens that we have no control over, but that doesnt mean I wont shed a tear over the family pet that gets run over, or starving children around the world. I am a very tolerant person, my tolerance towards others comes from being able to empathize with and place myself in other peoples shoes, we all grew up differently and I do not think anyone should be immediately judged by how they look or act.
I am a fun guy to be around, I am very laid back and always seek the silver lining in life. I have a very wicked sense of humor, even if most of my jokes are weird enough that no one gets them. I have been told I always look mad but spend 5 minutes with me and you will find I am very friendly, I just have an intimidating look to me.
I like to meet new people and learn everything I can from them. Everyone has experiences to share, if we listen well enough we can learn something new from everyone.
I am trustworthy and dependable to friends, im not the type of person who hears a secret and then tells it to the world, I am the kind of person who takes it to the grave with me.
I am a hard worker, I work hard on the job as well as off and feel a responsibility to doing my best in both. I like manual labor, it makes me feel feel good to make something with my hands even if I am the type that has trouble putting things together, im very mechanically challenged but I try my best. I am also the self-reliant type, I will do my own laundry when the hamper is full without being asked.
Im stable and patient with everyone I meet. I never go off on people because I feel no need to, life is too short to fight over all the details. It easier to talk it out than try to bully someone into doing what you want.
I like kids and can spend hours playing with them, I still have my innner child that likes to play too, even if the games now seem less fun than they used to. If they do something funny, even if it was wrong I will be the one laughing my head off about it rather than handing out spankings.
As for what I am looking for in a woman, it would have to be someone who can make me laugh, who I can enjoy spending time with, and who doesnt mind my own personal eccentricities. I can be stubborn as a mule, but I like to look for ways around conflict. I would rather compromise than spend hours fighting over who is right or wrong. I was born in California but grew up in Arkansas so I have a traditional view on life, I am looking for someone who doesnt mind me opening doors for them or treating them like a lady.
