I was unable to have children, but have wonderful nieces and nephews who are the World to me. I've worked with kids in many capacities over the years. Among those, I've taught Jr. and Sr. High School, was a Youth/Family Counselor and Juvenile Probation Officer through the court system and Social Services for years, and have also been involved with teaching in many other areas other than the classroom.
I'm very family oriented, have two sisters, and a lucky enough to still have both of my parents.
As far as the characteristics I look for in a partner go, I'd love to find a man who is kind hearted, but very strong (not necessarily muscular, but that's nice too) pretty laid back, willing to compromise, intelligent, witty, likes to go out to dinner occasionally, travel when possible, stay home on Sunday mornings and read the paper, etc... Simple things I think most people our age want. What I can't stand is loud, argumentative, foul tempered, and controlling people. (Although, friendly, good sported, and intelligent, banter is always interesting and intriguing! I don't want to be bored, or expect someone to agree with everything I do or say.)
