What I'm looking for? My best friend, companion, and soul-mate (yes I'm a hopeless romantic). He must be compassionate, loyal, affectionate, and have a good sense of humor. My friends and family mean the world to me, and I love and need to spend time with them, so he needs to understand and accept that. I would never try to take him away from his friends so I expect the same. This doesn't mean that he isn't important to me, just that it's ok to have friends and interests outside of our relationship. (Sorry I went off on a tangent there.. had issues with this in the past.) I'm not saying that my friends will come before my guy.. just that it's important (and healthy) to have some alone time and/or spend time with your friends every now and then.
I guess I'm really looking for the same thing everybody else is.. someone to share my life with. Someone who loves and accepts me as I am, someone to be by my side so that we may enjoy all life's experiences together. I'm not looking for perfection - I know it doesn't exist. I just realized that I may be coming off a bit harsh. I truly am a hopeless romantic when I find the right guy.. I want to find the guy that makes me smile every time I think about him.. someone who makes me light up every time he walks into the room.. someone who I can't wait to come home to.. and of course he feels the same about me.
