I'm intelligent, accomplished, successful, diplomatic, self-sufficient, assertive, outspoken, and not a needy person. I'm not bi-polar or schizo. Those kind of people cannot maintain a 21 year marriage or 13 years with the same employer. Granted, I've not done the same job all those years. (That would have made me crazy.) I've held more positions that I care to count.
Family comes first. No one has ever, nor will they be put before my children. My teen, 24 year old daughter (and her 2 children) live with me. We've a good arrangement. I pay the bills and the older daughter runs the household. My teen, works a couple of days a week, but primarily stays focused on academics. When our work schedules don't overlap, I have the little ones.
I don't have a 9-5 job. Some days things happen and I don't know what time I'll finsh the day; some, I have a couple of hours break before the work day starts again; some days I start work at 6:00 a.m., while on others, I have too much time on my hands. It all equals out in the long run.
As for my intro line of 'Why am I here'.. I'll tell you. I'm a geek. Most of my work is through email, Instant Messenger, and conference calls. I realized that after a 21 year marriage that I've no dating skills. Worse than that, I am accustomed to being with people of high integrity. Most have no underlying agenda. This venue allows me to use the things I know to help guide me through this maze.
On to another topic. It doesn't matter what kind of music or TV I like or you like for that matter. What does matter is a mutual respect of one another's likes and dislikes. It's all about compromise. This requires a level of emotional security and stability that few understand and even fewer have accomplished.
I don't post pics online. I did that once. I got back comments that my pics were generations old, downloaded from some site, etc. Overall I look younger than I am.
