I wanted to be an architect or in medicine, but my mother found me a nice job with our insurance agent. I worked in insurance for over 35 years, moved up the ladder, made a very good living for a H.S. grad. I am now semi-retired and making a career change into nursing. CNA to be exact. I am grateful that my children are well, safe, employed, in love, productive, and love me. The grandkids love grammy too! I love to "break bread" with my family, especially when we have dessert with coffee. Time to reflect.

I've enjoyed traveling to several countries outside of the US and it was interesting to view the various cultures in each one of them. Among the countries I visited were Holland, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Hawaii, and, more recently, Spain; and in the US, among the most memorable states for me were New York, Georgia, and Alaska and Washington DC. I was born in Washington DC and so it was a special journey there to look again at the many magnificent sites of our country's Founding Fathers, Memorials, and Museums. What a beautiful place! I love experiencing new places and cultures.

. I would describe myself as a very friendly, happy (most of the time) and fun person who is indepedent but not affraid to allow a man into my life. My family is extremely important to me. It's important to me that the person I date is willing to be around my family and also include me in his family. I try to keep current with the times and not dwell in the past. (I love oldies though) If you are the person for me, there is nothing I wouldn't do (well almost nothing) for you as long as you are willing to reciprocate. I love the outdoors, the water and boating. I prefer warm weather, but snow is pretty, at least the first time in the season. Since I now live in Arizona, I better like the warmth and don't think I'll see much snow except from a distance. I love to drive, and would be interested in day trips to areas around Phoenix. Since I just moved here, I know I have a lot to see.
