They are then surprised to find that I have already gone to college for six years to get my doctorate of pharmacy, have worked in my profession for almost 4 years and at one point quit my job to travel the world for a year.
After traveling in 2010, I have taken a step out of the 40 hour grind to spend more time on the things that are important to me. I realized that working on myself and working for others is my primary job. I volunteer, delivering meals to home-bound seniors. I've become addicted to running, running my first half-marathon in January and RAGNAR in February. I'm finally dedicating time to learning the guitar. I spend more time cooking and enjoying those meals with friends. I love to read, and believe that one can amass a lot of wisdom in a lifetime of reading. Essentially, everyday I try to better than I was the day before.
Even though I make a good living, I don't believe in flashy cars and lots of things. I try to "edit" my possessions frequently. You'd be surprised how much freer you feel when you get rid of some clutter. I've realized that the really important things, like the things listed above and spending time with friends and family, costs very little. So if you are interested in status symbols and appearances, then you are not for me.
I'm usually drawn to the artsy type, but am generally open-minded when it comes to dating. I'm just really looking for someone who is chill, has a good head on their shoulders and appreciates my dry wit.
