I spent the last 2 years in Europe working for the US Army. I left behind some great friends, saw some wonderful places, drank some amazing beer and wine, and had the time of my life. Moving to a foreign country and figuring out how to drive the German autobahn (and can I say that there is no rush greater than driving 180 km per hour!!), the Deutsch bahn system, and how to get my car from being sideways in the road in 4 feet of snow will definitely make a person stronger! I am a better person for the Weichnachtsmarkts, summer wine fests, and Ryan Air!! Who cannot possibly grow traveling Europe in a backpack!!
My friends would say I am loyal to a fault....I will always stand behind you no matter what is happening in your life. If you are my friend, you can count me as that for a lifetime.
I love the simple things in life, but I also have finally accomplished that phase in my life where I can take a weekend and run off somewhere...and it feels GOOD! I enjoy a home cooked meal (I am a good cook!), a good glass of wine, a funny movie, and, most of all, good company! I also enjoy all that Arizona has to offer, hope to travel, am planning do go skydiving for my birthday this year, just plan on living life to fullest!

Unfortunately, not because I'm a dud either, my social life is practially non existent, whereas where I lived before I had a very active social life. What makes me laugh out loud...back to those bloopers, granny going down on ice, which eating a snack that goes flying...that is going to be a laugh out loud moment, and it will last for a while...until they play another blooper and then granny's out and we are on to the next.

I was raised by 2 people who after 40 years of marriage were still very much in love with each other and I have yet to know any other couple that has demonstrated what a treasured relationship is all about. So because my parents led by example....I've come to want what they had, but haven't found "THE ONE" that wants the same out of a committed relationship. (I lost my dad to cancer 13 years ago and I have missed everything about him, but especially seeing him and my mom together, taking each day as a gift and truly respecting each other for exactly who they were) They simply enjoyed each other and no matter if it was being somewhere new and exciting or doing household maintenance....they made it fun, just by being together. That's what I am looking for.
I like to be optimistic about life and I have faith in the future! I am not in my 20's anymore....so I don't try to cover up my imperfections by being fake. The way I look at ME is to know that every scar, wrinkle, or blemish is from LIVING my life not being afraid to take chances, leap on faith, laugh out loud, cry from joy or sorrow, feel loss and pain and to know unconditional love from those I am blessed to call family and friends. I do not have a perfectly toned body but the real me on the inside is in the "best shape" I've ever been. I appreciate a man who is concerned about his appearance but I also don't judge by what the scale says and want the same consideration from a man. Weight can be lost and worked off in many ways that are extremely interesting and fun, and having the right person doing that with you is even better! (If your first thought was intimacy...you have great potential, but I was seriously meaning exercise or playing sports or learning a new activity together)
I notice the little things when I'm with someone. I can get lost just looking deep into eyes that are passionate, mysterious, and very deep. I enjoy watching from a distance and noting how your body language speaks when I can't even hear you. I also enjoy listening to people when they are talking about something that is special or important to them.....the tone of their voice, the gestures they make, the changes in their facial expressions....all of that speaks to me as well as the words that I can hear. I have been told I am extremely observant and I can't deny that. It's the little things that can be the best things and I don't like to overlook anything.
I like to have conversations about many things and I also like to just sit outside or lie in the grass and just take in all the sounds, smells and sights without saying a word. I like to be able to share different opinions without any heat or conflict and I love to agree to disagree about something and I am even humble about admitting when I'm wrong. I've been known to wager something only to lose when the facts are found and I think it's a healthy relationship that can handle those types of "disagreements."
