There are a few things you should know about dating me:

4. I'm kind of old fashioned and kind of a romantic. I will definitely open doors for you, bring you flowers, ask to take you out and want to hold your hand as we walk down the street. This doesn't mean I don't appreciate your independence, quite the contrary; I wouldn't be sitting across a table from you in the first place if I didn't get a sense of this before asking you out. These are just how I like to try to show affection and make you feel important to me. Because you are, even if it's only for one date.
5. I'm going to do my best to be charming and hilarious around you, but I need fuel for that. Meaning if you've got nothing interesting to say and are kind of boring, I will probably appear to have similar problems. My sense of humor is very improvisational and plays off of our conversation, surroundings and the situations we find ourselves in. I'm not a comedian and can't always pull funny material out of thin air.
6. I'm a big fan of communication in all it's many forms. Talking in person or on the phone, email, texts, Facebook(under the right circumstances)...it's all fantastic in my opinion. We'll probably find a good rhythm of communication as far as frequency and medium go.
7. I'm not going to bottle anything up or be any less than totally forthcoming with you. I've learned the hard way that being honest about everything and getting issues talked about and resolved quickly are absolutely key to successful relationships, even if they're really short ones.
8. I don't really sound like this- only when I write and I want to seem like I know what I'm talking about. I swear a lot, laugh at incredibly stupid things and will make jokes and toss insults at you that range from sarcastic to absurd to goofy to clever to insightful and everything in between. You're expected to be able to return the favor. This is called bantering and its pretty fun with the right person.
