Recent circumstances required a move from CA to Prescott, AZ and IРІР‚в„ўm lovinРІР‚в„ў it. I ducked a few curve balls, got my financial, physical and spiritual houses in order and am now ready to begin again.
Like many others, I have transitioned through multiple careers and am currently working towards another. I have acquired many things that bring me pleasure in life such as an appreciation for jazz and blues, a constant accumulation of knowledge and early morning walks. I am an avid Diamondback, Suns and stalwart Steelers fan (that about covers a full year of sports watching.) I was born and remained in Ohio until my late 20РІР‚в„ўs (that should explain where the enjoyment of watching sports came from.)
I am the eternal optimist and therefore do not dwell on politics. I trust until someone gives me a reason not to. I have a choice everyday regarding the attitude I will embrace for that day and I choose an attitude of happiness and gratitude. As it is said, life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. I have not been died, nipped, tucked or botoxed and have no intention to do so.
I would like to walk the length of the Pacific Crest and/or John Muir Trail; rent a motor home and explore the island of New Zealand; I have passed through at least 40 of the current number of states but somehow missed Mt. Rushmore, Old Faithful and Boise, Idaho. Maybe rent a lodge in Canada where you have to be flown in by a bush pilot to fish for (and consume) salmon for a week. Return to Alaska on a small boat instead of the huge luxury cruise ship. Our National Parks and Forests are a wonderful gift to us all.
I am only just beginning to reach out and explore the possibilities of companionship and what level that will be. I do not have set parameters. I am looking forward to some interesting introductions.

I spent my first 18 years in sw Kansas. I attended Colorado Womens' College in Denver, where I was a music major. . I was a cheerleader in H.S., then at the Colorado School of Mines.
I am most proud of my 2 sons and being their mother. When the oldest was a senior in high school, the entire student body (2,000 students), faculty and staff voted me their Big Blue Award (given to the school's biggest booster). Many of their friends still refer to me as “mom.” My oldest son, the one most like me, died in an automobile accident in 1995 at age 29. I miss him every day and try and set an example he would be proud of.
I am grateful for life-long friends, and love getting together with many of my classmates. I enjoy my own company and have never needed someone to entertain me. . Currently living/working in Micronesia which is a very interesting adventure! This island group is just oozing with history, different cultures from all over Asia and wonderful waters. In terms of travel I am very happy with day trips, so much to see in AZ and short trips. . I'm 65. Born and raised in Phoenix. Moved up to Prescott 16 years ago and love my home in the pines. I've been widowed twice. I would like to meet someone I'm compatible with to enjoy going to the movies, going out to dinner, having over to my home for dinner, sitting out on the deck enjoying a glass of wine, taking trips together - just enjoying life. I would have to have a physical attraction to my companion. I would prefer someone who is politically conservative and does not smoke. I am active in my Corvette Club, my church, volunteer work, card group, and my Red Hat Ladies club. I belong to a "ladies only" gym and work out every morning that I can. Friends and family are very important to me.
Although I am a grandmother, I'm certainly not ready to spend my evenings out on the porch in a rocking chair. There's still so much life to live, so many sights to see, so much to enjoy. But it's much more fun when you have someone you care about to enjoy it with you.

I moved to Prescott in October from NYC. Just a little different, right? I actually really am learning to love the town. My sister and brother-in-law live here. I am very outgoing and got myself involved in doing volounteering in Sharlott Hall Museum Gift shop. Also took a Vocal Ensemble class at Yavapai College and recently particiapated in a great concert singing and dancing on state at the Performance Center there. Such fun. Just loved being on stage. I am planning to do more of that and get involved in other commumity programs. I like the lifestlye here and find the people so friendly and welcoming. I would like to see and learn more about this part of the country. I just had a great experience riding on a three wheel motor cycle (trike) with a friend. We went up to Jerome and Skull Valley. Loved that feeling of freedom. I just turned 70 last week and still cannot get my head around that one. I am in good shape, a happy person and ready to enjoy my new life here in Prescott.
