A beautiful seacoast town in RI is where I spent the first 22 years of my life before moving to the prairies of Canada (MB SASK). Hawaii became home in 1983, living 19 years on the big island of Hawaii and 4 years on Oahu. I have had the great opportunity to be exposed to multi-ethnic cultures and lifestyles over the years through my places of residence and this has taught me a great deal in the way of tolerance and respect. There have been many countries to which I have travelled but there is still so much to do and see right here in the lower 48. It would be nice to share those experiences with a partner.
I have been surrounded by people who love me at the worse and best times in my life and for that I am forever greatful. I am humbled by the goodness in mankind in general.
I'm looking for a man who is affectionate, is a gentleman above all and is spontaneous. To be friends first and grow with each other into a committed relationship built on mutual understanding of our personal wants and desires and what is important to each of us at this point in our lives. Chemistry is important and although I am very patient, intimacy and romance are a very natural part of a normal, healthy relationship and if it's not there, then the search for the right partner must continue so as not to harm the friendship. A one-sided romance is self-destructing. There are the little outward gestures of the inner feelings, like a kiss on the cheek for no reason, a light touch on the shoulder or just the slightest touch as we stand close that I think speak volumes. You MUST have a keen sense of humor and be able to laugh from the deepest part of your being.
I know there is a fine man, with a big heart out there who is just the perfect match and this venture will turn into an ADventure before he knows it. Through life, we can raise our expectations or eventually lower them but sometimes we just have to be open to the possibility that the perfect person is standing right in front of our eyes!
I moved to Arizona 4 years ago after living in Hawaii for 24 years but decided a change was just what I needed, like turning the page of a great novel. My kids and grandchildren are in Canada, so at least I'm on the same continent should the need arise to be with them, and that's not to say that Hawaii is a million miles away.
And by the way, please don't let my zip code frighten you. It's not written in stone....I'm footloose and fancy free! I have a current passport and a matching set of luggage just waiting to be used, although I do travel light! I am low maintenance!

Family is important to me and would like someone who will share that with me (two sons and 5 grandchildren) and I the same with him. I enjoy traveling (I'm retired so have the time) and being outdoors. I have spent my life camping and going to the beaches in CA ( Huntington, Newport, Manhattan, Hawaii, Rocky Point).
