Date a woman from United States. I have been a widow since age 49. It came about unexpectedly and sent life into uncharted territory. Since then life has been busy with 2 daughters finishing college and grad school, two weddings ( both happily married to law enforcement officers ), one daughter having a baby ( I'm a grandmother to a preschooler ! ), and the other is currently pregnant. One lives here and the other recently moved to Vegas for a new job. Now is the time for my own personal life to be restored and to find love again. My job and working at the house around the yard and pool keep me busy. I often work too long at school and I'm hoping a great guy will change that. I like spending time with family and friends. I love to travel - but also like to hang out at home. I am easy going and fairly low maintenance. I am not looking for a relationship that comes with a lot of "baggage" or drama. I am looking for a man that wants a woman, not a man that needs a woman. I think wanting is far superior to needing. I am self-sufficient in most aspects of my life and do not need a man, but I would like a man to share my great life with. Not just any man, but a compatible companion and partner to have an easy, fun, caring, loving relationship. I would very much like a second chance at great love. I am not the jealous type. Jealousy is not a good character trait. Loyalty and honesty are excellent qualities. I have a good sense of humor and enjoy people who are funny and make me laugh because you can't take life too seriously. Conversation with a beer or glass of wine by the pool , just enjoying each other's company, can be a good end to the day. I can dress up or dress down, depending upon the event but I usually end up in jeans at some point in the day ( hence jeans 365 - as opposed to 24/7, although many days that does apply ! ). My life comes with all of the above - and then 2 large dogs that sleep on the bed and just about anywhere else they decide to. The rooms in my home all have lint rollers. :)

I enjoy cooking so sometimes guinea pigs are required to try what I've made. I must profess not everything tastes as I thought it would, but usually nobody complains :) I like to hop in the car with my camera and nowhere in mind to go. Back roads can be quite interesting.
The best time of my life is right now. While I miss my boys and granddaughter, am not for want other than to find someone who is real with no pretense. Someone who can think outside of the box, loves to laugh, values family, has some energy (no marathon runners, please:) and can stand a game of SkipBo, Rummy or Backgammon every now and then. Am looking for someone strong in values but with a forgiving side to a certain degree. MUST be a good kisser which is what my purple make out couch is for!
