I like the outdoors immensely-it makes me feel alive. Getting away from the crowds is very important to my well being. Plus, having substantial knowledge of the local geology, geography, plants, birds and other critters makes exploring the woods all that much more interesting. I am in pretty good shape and i need a good, consistent physical challenge to keep me on my toes. Many folks i know consider me an extremist when it comes to "playing in the woods", but to me this is quite normal and i wouldn't have it any other way. However, at this point in my life i am just a weekend warrior with a lot of outdoor experience/appreciation...
I am also a small business owner/scientist and my work is always interesting and challenging. I love my work.
My friends/family are my life. I am a great friend to have because it is important to me to support them/treat them well, help them out as much as possible, and also be treated well by them. Sort of weird but if you get to know me it will all make sense.
Things that are important to me and i look for in a woman: trust, honesty, loyalty, courtesy and respect (I believe I am starting to recite the Boy Scout motto here......) But i try to be these things too, esp loyalty. I am a firm believer in fate/luck/chance...whatever you want to call it. I feel strongly about making things happen for yourself instead of just bumbling along thru life.....
Karma takes care of those who are kind/helpful/courteous to others, especially to people you don't even know, in a far away place....
I also know my way around a kitchen and appreciate a good bottle of red wine. I know the difference between 200 and 800 thread-count sheets....I can play the corporate executive when the situation dictates it-but i love to wear shorts and sandals to work. Being the boss has some perks!

Meet a man from Arizona, United States. Currently live alone, and get my children not as often as I'd like. Work as a nurse, am looking at maybe teaching nursing now, my history has been as an emergency nurse and also as a flight nurse. The worst fear of being a flight nurse has actually happened a few years ago, more to come on that subject, over dinner perhaps. Enjoy kayaking and canoeing, tough to be a water lover and live in Flagstaff I know, Poverty with a view should add waterless to that statement. Enjoy hiking too, I used to lead wilderness trips for a YMCA that was for 2-3 week trips, both hiking and canoeing, so I'm very comfortable in the wilderness settings. Now though, it's just my dog and I outdoors, which is fun as well. Play raquetball but bad knees after 10 hard years has led to less games these days. Living at 7000 ft doesn't help either. Have lived in Flag for 10 years, prior to that I've tried Wisconsin (for 6 years) and 5 in the Boston area.
