I was raised in rural Colorado with a love of sports and the great outdoors. Family and hard work were a way of life. I grew up with extended family on a ranch that my grandparents homesteaded in the 1920's. I attended a small country school and fondly remember simpler times. Family is still a priority.
I enjoy meeting new people and exploring new places. Often times I take an impromptu road trip with no agenda, no plan and yes, I do talk to strangers! I am blessed to be able to do that whenever I want but it would be even better to share those experiences with someone like minded. I like to be spontaneous. Being prepared is better than being planned.
My life changed drastically when my husband of 25 years died unexpectedly in November 2006. I never have known such profound loss. It has taken some time but I've finally figured out that it's OK to have fun. Life is for the living. I'll meet and greet in Heaven soon enough. I believe in true love and hope to find it again. I miss the strength and secure feeling having a man in my life provides together with the intimacy that comes with a great relationship.
