Date men and women from United States / Arizona / Cave Creek, 54 year old

Date someone special from United States. I am a father of 2 boys that I am raising on my own. I didn't marry until 35 so I have had way too much "me time'" and would like to meet an honest and faithful woman of integrity. I prefer not to frequent bars anymore......had way too much of that as well. It is not that I won't go - just not without you : ) I enjoy the outdoors - biking, attending my son's hockey games and fly fishing (unfortunately hard in Phx). I also enjoy relaxing at home with a good movie, reading, and basically enjoy the company of the person sitting next to me. I talk all day at work so I love to listen at home. If you think I 'm not listening to you, I am. I don't want one night stands. I'm looking for a real relationship. I don't like games. I like most people, and most dogs but only have loved 1 cat, it was my brothers, when I was a boy. Basically I want to be with someone I can trust and enjoy spending a great deal of time with. I promise you will know I'm "there" and I'll know your "there" as well. I'm a cheerful guy and have great friends. I'll introduce them to you if you would like....They'll love you, because they love me and I love them. Anyway, give me a holler and let's see what happens.

Meet people from United States. **Even though I have a profile here I haven't yet committed to paying for a membership and won't until I get settled. So I can't answer e-mails yet. I am relocating to the valley around the first of Aug.**
Let's see if I can tweak this thing and get it right. It's so hard to condense a lifetime into a few lines. Just when I think it's right I read some one else's profile and think oh yeah I should have said.
In 2010 I went through a divorce. I am not in the least jaded about relationships and would like to have one with the right woman.
I am a walking contradiction. I have always liked the cowboy lifestyle but I don't own a horse and I never learned to two step. Any good instructors out there? I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. I think that I look more conservative then I really am. I have friends that are very conservative and friends that have alternative lifestyles. Even though I am agnostic and can't abide organized religion I believe that I have a good moral compass. I have a strong work ethic and I'm generous to a fault.
I love to cook special dinners using new recipes and entertain friends. I've lived in different parts of the country. I have traveled and experienced a variety of cuisines and cultures. So I've developed a taste for variety in cooking and eating. I like many authentic ethnic foods. Not the Americanized versions.
I'll make us a romantic dinner after a long week. We can share some wine and conversation on the patio. I'll even rub your feet while we talk about anything. Then after a weekend of adventure I'll make you breakfast on Sunday morning and we can have a quiet morning reading the paper, watch CBS Sunday Morning and enjoy the secure feeling of just being in the same room together.
I have two adult children that live on the other side of the country from me and I Love and miss them.(Update: My son is now in the Army)
I don't need to be completed just complimented. I'm looking for a friend who I can become intimate with and tell my secrets too, travel with, laugh until we cry with. I'm not asking for some one to change her life but to include me in it as much as I will include her in my life. I know what the world looks like from here. What I want to know is how it looks from where you are.
"I dream of of living in a world where a chicken can cross the road without his motives being questioned."
I have a corny sense of humor in a witty way. I can be sarcastic but not mean. I receive as well as I give and I love to laugh.
"Drink wine. This is life eternal. This is all that youth will give you. It is the season for wine, roses and drunken friends. Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life."
I have eclectic, somewhat Bohemian tastes and I am very live and let live. I enjoy a night out with friends singing karaoke or listening to a good band. I prefer classic rock and country but I can enjoy some different music as well. A BBQ with good friends, a day trip with no real destination or a relaxing day hanging out at home are always welcome too. I Love to discover new things with you.
I'm straight but not narrow and expect others to accept me as I do them. I am not pretentious and dislike those who are. I respect the effort it takes to get to a position in life. All kinds of people work hard even if they aren't successful financially. Good people are just good people. I want to meet good people of all walks. There are so many people doing things now because of the economy that they wouldn't have dreamed they would be doing now if you asked them 10 years ago, including me. So no judgements here.
Let's go have some fun!
“Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.

Date single man from United States. A few things about me….. I'm flexible but tenacious in reaching goals but on the other hand I enjoy kicking back and wasting the day away in the company of my partner. I like traveling and exploring new places, the great outdoors… getting into good food and appreciating life's simple pleasures - playing cards with friends, hanging out at the pools and making good food and sharing a nice bottle of wine.
I like to stay positive - even finding the humor in challenging situations. At work I do my best and like to be among the best at whatever I'm doing. I like biking, hiking and skiing. Around the house and in the garage I’m a do it yourselfer and can fix just about anything.
I’m looking for someone who’s confident and self-assured, sensitive but able to poke fun and laugh at herself when funny things happen. You’ll need to be down to earth and unpretentious despite being drop dead gorgeous. If you’re appreciative of quality and class without being high maintenance we’ll have fun at the Nutcracker next Christmas and then drink beers and munch on chips and salsa watching football Sunday afternoon.
I love the smell of the desert after a rainstorm. Watching the night sky for shooting stars… I’m a romantic at heart and generally traditional but you’ll be all the more captivating if you’re self-sufficient and capable but also enjoy being pampered and pampering your mate - knowing the little things that make the moment just right for each other. We’ll know at a glance if there’s a spark and will revel in each other’s company making the most of life, completely content and confident - knowing we have each other’s back.
Are you “the one”?

Meet a man from United States. Hmmm ...well you'd think this would be easy...just telling someone (or in this case everyone) about yourself. So I'll try to just broadly lay it out. I am very down to earth and have a good sense of humor. Financially I am very responsible. I possess an uncommon amount of common sense and I'm deeply rooted in reality. I am considerate of others and take them at their word (unless they dictate otherwise). I was brought up with manners (in the South they were pretty much pounded into you). I tend to run on the quiet side until I know someone better. I firmly believe that honestly and communication is the basis for any good relationship. I was married to a wonderful woman who taught me a lot, I've learned even more in the intervening years, so I am well past the "re-bound" stage. I am well read and fairly well traveled. I try to be open minded and will gladly listen to another point of view. My political leanings are weighted toward the right...but if something else makes more sense...great. I'd prefer a quiet night with close friends (preferably on Lake Powell) rather than being in a huge crowd. Physically: I eat well and go to the gym...neither fanatically...sometimes you just gotta have that burger. I like to stay active, a hike, boating, walk my dogs, projects around the home, day trips, exploring AZ... I'd much rather mow the lawn than be inside watching a basketball game...(that's the one with the big orange ball right?). I can fix just about anything ( I have too... I live in an old house) I'm also pretty self sufficient, I cook, clean, do laundry... I even have a sewing machine, its right next to the welder..lol. I have 1 well behaved dog, for awhile I tried training her to clean the house...not much luck... I guess it's the whole no thumbs thing. I have 12 nieces and nephews so I like kids...just never had any of my own. Ok, out of space, just ask if you want to know more.I prefer a woman who is comfortable with and within themselves. Or put another way.... If it takes you 2 hours to do your hair and make up just to go to the gym... it probably wouldn't be a good fit. A woman most comfortable in jeans and blouse rather than an evening gown... not that an evening gown wouldn't be required from time to time. Down to earth and a good sense of humor are prerequsites. Honesty is a pretty big plus also. I have a natural tendency to avoid high drama and would appreciate the same.

Date a soulmate from United States. I love small moments like when I leave work Friday night and see the wispy clouds high above promising good winds for the weekend. ...or a wild dolphin family that came up to the swim ladder on our chartered catamaran in Belize to say hello. My spirit is lifted by sunsets and nature. My heart skips a beat when I see a piece of antique Fenton glassware or Roseville and ponder what it must have been like to live in the age of art deco. If only those pieces could tell their stories. I think it's adorable when I see childlike responses from adults during both joyful and stressful situations. I love a woman's small hands around my shoulders and neck when I'm sore and aching. Not so much when I'm being disciplined. LOL The inflexibility of some people perplexes me, but most of us I guess are too grown up to change. Except possibly when we're in love. Sometimes an old song on the radio can change my mood from sour to playful in no time. I wish I had the talent of Zac Brown. I understand and use about three quarters of the buttons on my TV remote. The other quarter are probably decorations for symmetry. I don't know the reason I've never married. I guess I'm saving the best for last. For a moment I like to pause during the day and observe what's going on around me. I listen to the games people play. The game players are as persistent as crickets. I use to think that cave paintings were done by cavewomen because women tend to be nest builders. But recently I've come to a different conclusion. I'm perplexed when my French teacher makes a cherry quiche only to leave in the pits. Something about ruining the flavor, go figure. There's no shame in turning to a screwdriver when the cork falls apart. Someone needs to make one in a velvet pouch as a gift set. There's one angle from which to view Venus de Milo that exhibits jaw dropping beauty. I was taken back and felt butterflies when it was pointed out to me. If I were abducted by a UFO, after the orifice examinations I would ask to see the craft systems schematics. Carmen overlooked that. The largest culture shock I've ever had was while riding the mini-buses in St. George, Grenada. A time I won't forget. If we traveled in blimps instead of airplanes we could worry less about security because the blimps would just bounce off buildings. I'm a genius, no ? One of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever seen was when our houseboat was neatly tucked into a Lake Powel side canyon blanketed in fog. It started to rain and several multi-colored waterfalls began to spill around us out of the clouds. The scene was so romantic that we could barely get down below before one of our European crewmates began disrobing to seduce her boyfriend. I recently saw Carmen in San Francisco and was so incredibly moved by the lead singer. I just melted.
I want an independent out-going generally content girlfriend with a healthy mindset. I want a woman who can listen, engage in the topic then perhaps return some wit with a smile. One who takes a moment to understand. One who is intelligent and is always learning new things. Someone who speaks with her palms in front of herself and does not finger point, literally. I want a woman looking for a relationship. ...and has all the usual things men desire: feminine, beautiful, passionate and drawn to a great guy.

Meet men and women from United States. I think im fine :-) Of course there is always something new to learn. Im interested in finding an easy going happy person to spend fun and quality time with. Just looking right now, Im not lost and dont need anything but the chance of meeting someone very interesting.

Date someone special from Cave Creek, United States. Hi, . Thanks for taking the time to read my ad. I really enjoy running, mountain biking, and cross training. In fact if I'm not working I'm most likely out in the desert. I've lived in the Phoenix area all my life, and in Cave Creek/Carefree for over 20 years. I raised two daughters largely on my own who no longer live at home. At this point in my life I do not enjoy children. So, if your lifestyle revolves around your kids, (even if they are grown) we would not be a good fit . Music is really important to me, and I would like to be able to share that appriciation with anybody who is part of my life. Unlike many who have electic tastes in music, my preference is traditional sounding Country. I love to cook and, enjoy fine dining. I've been told that I'm an accomplished chef, which I regard as a great compliment. I also really enjoy classic movies and a good book. I should also mention that unlike most men I have absoluetly no interest in any team sports whatsoever! My interest would be more in the "extreme sports" such as Rodeo. When I was younger I was heavily involved in Drag Racing. I love speed! I'm also not into any current "pop culture" (music, movies, TV, etc.) I'm definetly non conforming, so if you're looking for "Joe Average" with typical interests, it's not me! I've been told that I was born 50 years too late, and I've got to agree. Weekend trips for a getaway can be fun. However, I must say I don't enjoy extended travel. While I can be quiet, and somewhat introverted at times (traits of an only child, I guess), I'm not shy, and am generally pretty intense and tend not have very many "gray area's". Finally, since relationships are about "quality time" (or should be) please be located somewhere in the North Valley. Windshield time is not quality time.
Bonus if you're a dog person....
Best Wishes,
Jeff

Meet people from Cave Creek, United States. Looking for someone who considers themselves a protector and a lover. I want a relationship with a mature man, but one who is not above acting like an idiot with me when we feel the mood. Someone I can discuss the workings of the world and the universe with, but who has a sense of humor and wit to keep me laughing. We can talk about the most random things, share music and never get tired of each other. And what do I bring to the party ? An intelligent and sensual woman who is passionate about everything she does.

Date men and women from Cave Creek, United States. Looking for a real gentleman who can sit tall in the saddle and still know what wine to order. A kind, and honest type who wants to polish life off with class and a nice companion.
I appreciate someone who has grounded values and knows what is right. And I am grateful for thoughtfulness and the little extras that show that we can be aware of what makes other people smile or be happy.
