I guess this is where I tell you about me. Well, I'm a 32-year old high school history teacher. I've never been married nor do I have any kids. Alabama has been my home my whole life starting in Mobile, then school at Auburn and now living/working here in Birmingham. However, I do not have an accent, nor do I enjoy hunting or mud ridding or anything like that. I feel like I am a pretty successful guy. I have two degrees, I have been teaching at the same school for over six years now, I own my own house, etc.
My job is a big part of who I am as far as my values are concerned. I love the idea of helping people and making better citizens. I try my best to help make the society around me a better place and teaching is a way I can try to enact a positive change. I am very positive I am in the right career and totally love my job! Also, I'm a pretty big liberal (especially for the state of Alabama) and I'm not a religious person either, so if you are a big Fox News or a big church person, I think it is only fair that you know that about me. I hope that doesn't bother you, but I understand if it does. I love people who are open-minded and take time to think about things from someone else's point of view. I enjoy having a good intelligent conversation and that goes a long way with me.
As for what I enjoy doing, I am really up for anything as long as it is with the right people. I think who you are with is way more important than what you do. If it was my choice to pick something fun to do, I'd love to go hiking during the daytime (there are many good trails around town) or find a nice place to go sit outside and have lunch somewhere. At night there are many more options. I love going to a karaoke place and I'm the guy that loves to get up there and sing. Grabbing a drink at a local bar and socializing is also a lot of fun to me. I enjoy watching sporting events on the weekends or catching a movie. There is a local theater group I started to go see often in town and enjoy seeing that as well.
I also love good music. Some of my older favorites are Jimmy Buffett, Bruce Springsteen, the Beatles, U2, and Simon and Garfunkel. Some of the newer bands I like are Mumford & Sons, Bon Iver, O.A.R., and even Coldplay
Really, I'm just looking for someone to make me laugh and smile and would enjoy doing those things with me. I am a pretty independent person, but I always like having someone to share those experiences with if possible. Hope to hear from you.
I am also a big beach person. My family has a house down on Dauphin Island off the coast of Mobile that I try to go down and visit as often as I can, especially in the summer time. I am always up for getting out of town for a beach weekend! :)

Well I'm the typical jeans and t-shirt guy when I'm not at work. I will have it no other way. I'm from the midwest so I'm doing the best I can with getting used to the southern way of life here in southeast Alabama, although I've lived here once before six years ago it's still a challenge. I guess all of the things that make living in this part of the country exciting i.e. hunting, fishing, boating etc.. I'm not all to interested in. I do spend a considerable amount of time indoors because I'm not an outdoors person. I don't think I ever will be!!
I'm currently in the military and I guess most days I enjoy what I do, but like everything else it eventually just becomes a job you show up for Monday thru Friday. I have had the opportunity to live all over the world the last ten years or so, some good and some not so good and I will say nothing beats the midwest so when my military career is over that is where I will eventually return.
I guess I'm on this dating site for the same reasons you are, at least some of the reasons, I maybe wrong, but even a dead clock is right twice a day so I like my chances. Sometime he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my sack. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum...it's breathtaking, I highly suggest you try it!
Wow...how many of you really believed that!!?? Ok, if you look to the left, I'm prior military. I'm single apparently...or I wouldn't be on here! Let's see...what else?! I'm a personal trainer. I have a German Shepherd...and she's my baby. I'm extremely clean, almost OCD clean, I take my shoes off before I enter my place. I know! I cook, and I cook well! However, it's all healthy!
