A nonconformist by nature, I am the first from my high school to become a lawyer(University of Alabama School of Law) after graduating from Auburn University with a B.S. in Animal Husbandry. I worked for over 20 years in a successful legal career while helping with my family's cattle farm. In early 2011, I acquired this farm. Most of my attention now is directed to invigorate this farm. The farm's land and cattle are of great beauty and I am blessed to own it.
I was married for over 20 years and have two beautiful, smart, talented and sweet daughters ages 15 and 17. They live with their mother with my having as much visitation as our busy schedules permit.
I have a rather zany, quirky sense of humor. I have a studious side and am also good with people including being a good public speaker.
In addition to continuing my legal career, I have a passion about the quality of our food supply. The farm's Angus herd is geared towards supplying breeding cattle to grassfed beef farmers. It is my belief that we must move our food production away from high input and unhealthy conventional agriculture to more sustainable organic practices that produces better tasting and more nutritious food. I am no hippie or foodie-this just makes common sense. As part of this, I have gained an interest in Argentine cooking or roasting of meat called Asado. In Argentina, asado is both a way to cook and a way of life.
I am in the best shape I have been in since my 20's. Although my schedule is subject to change, I like to alternate running with weight training. I have no tattoos or piercings. Without giving TMI, all equipment is in perfect working condition.
