I’m a southern girl; Bama is the only place I have ever called home (Roll Tide!!). I have an amazing family that I spend time with on a daily basis (life is boring when they aren’t around!). I have a small circle of close friends that have been a part of my life since we were crazy middle school kids; they are pretty much family to me. I am a middle school teacher and currently enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Alabama. I think I have a pretty wonderful life!
Being outdoors is one of my favorite things! My best weekends are spent sitting around the campfire with my favorite people. Since we typically build fires down by the pond, there is usually some fishing going on. Fishing is good…as long as I can get somebody to bait the hook (I’m not touching live bait!). I enjoy camping, hiking, and road trips to the beach….or anywhere else you might want to go. I have two dogs and would rather be sitting out in the swing with them than pretty much anywhere else. Another favorite of mine is music! I’m a country and classic/southern rock kind of girl. I love old vinyl records and have a huge collection of them (my favorites being Lynyrd Skynyrd, Waylon Jennings, & Steve Miller Band). My dad taught both me and my brother to play guitar. Honestly, I’m terrible at it! My brother is a pretty awesome guitar player and I spend a good bit of my time traveling around to hear his band play. Although I do occasionally spend time at some bar/music venue type places, I’m not a party girl. Also, I’m not much of a drinker and definitely not a smoker! I also love watching college football! Some of the best memories from my childhood are game days with my family down in Tuscaloosa. Some other things I enjoy are: chick flicks (Dirty Dancing & Man in the Moon), shopping, flip flops, curling my hair, expensive sheets, flowers, and anything that sparkles.
