I'm originally from Mobile, AL, but came up to Huntsville, AL to attend UAH, but in my need to pay for classes I found a job i love. I am a store manager for Dollar General going on 3 years now. I'm a recent arrival in Alabama, having been unable to resist the allure of a great job offer in town, and the chance for a change of scenery from the big city. It's been a big change, with a wee bit of culture shock, but I think I'm settling in well.
I've got a college degree, a paying job, and all my teeth :). When I'm not at work, I'm running (and hating it, oh how I hate running!), watching something from my awesomely huge movie collection (Little Shop of Horrors is on the list for this week!), or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen. I love to cook by the way, it's a passion of mine. Anything and everything, from Cajun Chicken to homemade Stir Fried Delight! Cooking a fancy meal for one is a little sad though =(.
So, I'm new in town, single, and terrible at the dating game. I don't have pickup lines, or a flashy car. Well, it's semi-flashy, I got it in red, because that makes it go faster, right? =p Anyways, back on topic!

I started college on an athletic scholarship for Hockey and Lacrosse. Switched schools and major alot! Started with a double major in and ended up getting a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (logical transition). I graduated Missouri Science and Technology which is a small engineering school in Rolla, MO. I lived and worked on cattle farm for free room and board while I was in school. If there was common thread throughout my life... I've alwayed surrounded myself with honest, hardworking, kind people... I've have a truly blessed life. I'm just getting over my past relationship of 7 year to a women that I planned to marry, have kids and grow old with. It's not a sob story, just how life goes sometimes. That we wanted from our relationship, careers and life just changed, so we did what never to be done. Enought of the boring stuff, I'm a typical county boy... love to hunt (bow hunting especially) and fish (bass and fly fish). I used to restore muscle cars and build mud trucks/jeeps. I have a Honda CRF 250 dirt bike and enjoy spending a weekend at a motocross track. I play music all the time (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, upright bass, piano, drums). I like to surf, wakeboard and snowboard. I think I'm a decent enough guy... honest and loyal (almost to a fault), hardworking, don't cheat or steal. My momma taught me respect and how to be a gentleman. I do have nerdy side (effects from being an engineer) and a sense of professionalism. I believe the lord makes me strong and is the reason for all the blessing in my life. I'm sure there is plenty more but my life not a open book... geesh. I'll leave a little bit for the imagination.
