Date single boy from Alabama, United States. Hey I'm Patrick! I was in the Army for 6 years as an Infantryman and deployed to Afghanistan as a 50cal gunner but retired from Active National Guard duty in December. Since I'm getting out and switching careers, I am going to nursing school which is kind of the opposite of being a gunner, but I like the idea of the high pace and saving lives. I've lived around Birmingham for 5 years now but was born in Norfolk, VA. I've lived in NY, NJ, PA, IL, WI, NV, GA, and multiple cities in all those states. But, I mostly grew up outside Chicago in the burbs, so I try to make it back there often to see my best friends. Also, I am fiercely loyal to my Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks. I definitely love to travel. I've been to Canada and Mexico like most people but also all over Germany, Prague in the Czech Republic, Ireland, and more recently Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan. Australia, Fiji and Bora Bora are still at the top of my to-do list.
What am I looking for? That's pretty easy. I just want someone genuine and positive who appreciates the little things in life. We don't have to like all the same things, although that would probably be really nice. We don't even have to feel the same way about different issues. But I've learned that life is too short to be doing anything other than enjoying every single minute of it. I don't want someone who is going to let something little ruin their whole day for no reason. And I realize everyone has a past, and most everyone has had their heart broken a time or two. But, I don't want someone who thinks the best years are over and wants to live in the past. I want someone who is driven to succeed in life on their own, because they appreciate the value of hard work. At the same time, I want someone who I can cut up with, joke around, have inside jokes with and who hates when I'm not around because we play around so much.
