Date a guy from Alabama, United States. I am as honest as they come. My honesty sometimes gets me in trouble when I say things that are a little too blunt. Sometimes the filter between my mouth and my brain doesn't work, but I'd rather tell you how it is, rather than beat around the bush just to spare your feelings. Often the truth hurts, but needs to be heard and if someone truly cares about you; then they will be truthful. Having been a military brat and in the Air Force for 4.5 years, I came back home to pursue my degree and a more grounded lifestyle. Military life is hard on a family. I didn't want to try and maintain a relationship or put my future children through that experience while I was in service to my country and that was one of the reasons I decided to get out. School is going great, but I've been focusing on myself for the last 2 years or so and I'm quite ready to get back out and date again. I graduate next year and I would like to invest in a serious relationship as my life starts to come together in a direction where I think it should be for me to be able to focus attention, time, and money on a partner. My life abroad has made me open-minded to other people's opinions and different cultures and beliefs. I was a Chaplain's Assistant in the Air Force (Civilian equivalent to a Social Worker) and as such, I am a very good listener and I enjoy helping others. I love meeting and talking to new people. I'm one of those people that will ask you how your doing, then when you say something generic like "OK", "good", or "fine"; I'm like.... "How are you really?" I've heard it all and nothing you say is going to scare me off or surprise me. I'm an open book. Ask anything you want. Just be aware that you may get a very honest and truthful answer ahhaha. I am very romantic and love to do spontaneous things for that special lady in my life. I love to spend time with my partner and buy her things. Women should be treated with respect and like princesses unless they choose to act in a manner that deserves neither.
I take care of myself and I expect anyone I involve myself with to do the same. I keep good hygiene. I have no major medical issues. I have never smoked or done drugs. I drink responsibly. I work out and run on a regular basis. I am healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually and I am not interested in investing time, money, and emotion with someone that is not what I would consider to be a healthy partner. I've got a lot to offer and I have a right to be picky about who I date. I have tried to settle in the past, even believing I could fix or save women that simply didn't want to be helped and it never worked out well, so I'm not too inclined to do so now.
I'm looking for a woman that I share interests with. Someone who can keep good conversation; who has valid arguments and feelings about the things she believes in and can back them up with solid justification. I'm looking for someone that is a lady in public and has some self respect, but at the same time knows how to let go and be herself in a relaxed environment with friends and in private. I'm looking for a woman who encourages me to be a better man and makes me feel like I can take on the world when I walk out the door in the morning. I would like to find someone that is open; willing to share and talk about their life experiences with me: past experiences, present issues, and future hopes and dreams.
