I'm at a point in that part of my life where training younger firefighters to stay alive is more important to me then actually being hands on at scenes, but, I'm still hands on because my experience requires it of me. My only son is a young man now and he is also a firefighter.
I own my own business (Insurance Claims) which allows me to travel throughout the southeast and I love to drive. I normally return home on the same day that I leave, but, from time to time an overnight stay is required. I usually travel alone but I would much rather have someone to enjoy the trip with me. I love the mountains, especially when the leaves are changing colors in the fall.
I enjoy making people laugh and I can find humor in most situations. I can be very serious when needed and I have no problems making decisions. I'm spontaneous and I love living life. "Things" do not mean as much to me as moments do. I measure life by memories and not by accomplishments. My friends would say that I'm smart, witty, trustworthy, hardworking, caring, loving and loyal. I do workout very regularly. I enjoy cooking, cleaning, yardwork, shopping and woodworking is a hobby of mine. I have a great group of friends and a wonderful family. I also attend church regularly and I'm active in church activities.
I enjoy a great night out but I also enjoy just snuggling on the couch and watching a good movie. A nice quiet evening at home with someone you care for deeply can be as rewarding as anything. I want that "I can't wait to see her again, sweep her off her feet and hold her as tight as I can" relationship and I want her to feel the same about me. The more I'm loved, the more I love back.
