Date a man from Alabama, United States. I'm supposed to use 4000 characters to define myself, to explain who I am and what I seek in a new friend......tough assignment! As you can tell from my username, I'm a Bama fan--Roll Tide—and have been my whole life; it's hard not to be a Bama-man when you grow up near Tuscaloosa in the age of the Bear.
I've often heard that man is largely defined by what he does. In my job, I have the opportunity each and every day to help people make some of their most important decisions. One of the most rewarding parts of my week is when I get to teach my history class. I absolutely love being in the classroom, but I'm not the old stuffy monotone stereotypical history teacher. I love to tell juicy stories, to be excited about the topic, and to help a student learn something they did not know before: how awesome! I hope to meet someone who is just as passionate about their studies or career. How special it is to love what you do and to feel that it matters!
In addition to working at the College, teaching class, and watching the Tide roll, I like taking-in a good movie (e.g. scary, suspense, funny, classics—heck I like most genres) or simply relaxing in front of the TV. I love music too--ask me about this because I might surprise you, challenging your idea of a traditional stuffy old history teacher. Ha!
Friends and family are very important to me. I come from a small town, and hold those small-town values of community dear to my heart. And while I only have one sibling, my extended family is quite large; they all are near-and-dear to me. One of my favorite things to do is to go out to eat with friends. It might sound simple but good food and good friends make for good times (lol...that sounds like an Applebee’s commercial). Nonetheless, there is something special and fun about spending time with great, best friends. I’m hoping to meet a new, best friend—someone I can trust, laugh with, and share fun times with.
