I grew up in the rural mountains of AZ and so I'm Country at heart. I also lived in the Phoenix metro area (Scottsdale) for ten years so I’m equally comfortable with what city life offers. I’m up for anything that gets me outdoors, regardless of weather. I’ve yet to try white water rafting or skydiving, but both are on the agenda.
I’m not a couch potato and boredom comes way to easy; I can enjoy lazy days, but they are not common for me. I normaly run 12-15 miles per week and strength train 2-3 days per week; all of which helps me decompress. Physical fitness is a lifestyle for me, i.e. not something that has to be done, as it allows me to do the things I enjoy in life, and provides the confidence to try new things.
I have no loyalties when it comes to sports (except for my alma mater ASU) and enjoy playing sports a lot more than watching them...I’m saying I participate, not that I’m an All-Star.

Cats I can deal with and respect but I prefer dogs.

Meet someone special from Madison, United States. I look young for my age. I don't look or feel 34. I'm a tall, skinny guy. I'm funny, goofy, romantic, and fun to be around. I've never been married and do not have any kids, although I want to have a couple kids someday. I live by myself with my cute dog Bailey.
Couple interesting things about me; I grew up in Alaska and I still have family there so I go there to visit when I can. When I left Alaska I moved to Florida, and then moved to Alabama. I had open heart surgery in the summer of 2010. Now I have a mechanical Aortic Valve that ticks. It's been over a year since the surgery so I'm fine now. You'd never even know unless you saw the scar on my chest. The scar on my chest is not very big and it doesn't look bad at all.
I like to do all sorts of things for fun, like going to the movies, bowling, mini-golf, camping, hiking, canoeing, going to dinner, amusement parks (I love roller coasters), and cookouts. Mountain biking in Alaska was my favorite thing to do when I lived there. And I mean real mountain biking. I also went snow skiing when I lived there and when I visit. My brother and nephew live in the Birmingham area so I go there at least once a month to see them. I also love lighting a fire and watching a movie.

I am an active guy I have done every thing from Mountain climbing (Cotopaxi was epic) to Kick boxing fights in Thailand (Koh phi phi Reggie bar drunken brawls) to teaching snowboarding in Alaska (Challenge Alaska) just to name a few.. I see the humor in life even in its travesties. I love lazy mornings when you stay in bed a lil longer then normal and be enamored with how beautiful you look in the morning. I know most women disagree but that morning glow is really where you can see the beauty of the one your with. But most importantly I know what works in a relationship and know the little caveats that make or break it. I love looking into that some ones eyes and knowing there is no other place or person id rather be with and they feel the same. My career before I moved to Alabama was pretty much like a survivor episode on the daily, makes for great stories but not exactly the most fun while it’s happening. I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss it, but life goes on and the smart choice was here so here I am.

I have taken a mostly pessimistic view in the past but have recently changed my viewpoint to one as optimistic as possible. I like to run, bicycle, golf, disc-golf, hike, camp, play poker, watch movies, and play on something made by Apple (e.g. iPhone, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini). I would like to meet someone that enjoys some subset of these things. I am proud of the BS and MS degrees that I have achieved, where I am in within my career, and the friendships that I share.
I like running but I am not able to run as much as I previously could because it is tough on my knees. I really enjoy cycling and try to bike to work and back a couple of days each week until it gets too cold. I like taking bike rides with friends to places such as Decatur, Athens, etc and ride in 100 mile charity races. I recently biked with a friend back from Orange Beach to home in Madison AL over 5 days averaging 100 miles a day. I enjoy playing golf but I am not that great. I have broken 90 once for those who know what that means. I just started playing disc-golf and I think I am going to love that. I have two disc-golf courses within 1.5 miles of my house so that seems like it is going to be very convenient and fun.
Playing poker is a definite pleasure in my life. I love playing anything from cash games to tourneys, from Texas Hold 'em to Razz. I am a decent player if you judge me by the current results of my gambling career. I am up around 300-400% in all and often win or place in tourneys. There is a lot more skill needed in poker than most people give the game credit. I enjoy the social aspect of the game as much or more than the thought process and math behind it.
I recently built a new house in Madison AL and I really like what I have. My home is close to work, friends and family. I would like to have a dog eventually but I am waiting until I have a fence in the back yard. I also made sure to build a wide open loft area for a hangout/poker parlor.
I work as a Systems Administrator at an ISP and love what I do for a living. I work primarily in the Linux side of the server world but I also have to work on Macs and Window servers occasionally. I went through the first several years in this career working 50-65 hour weeks, trying to prove myself, but I am now am at the point in my career where I can work 40 hours and still perform a great job. This allows me to separate my job from my personal life to a large degree.
