I love to run and hope to be able to run for years to come, but I'm realistic, I know what awaits me, but I'm not pessimistic about it, realistic and hopeful. I usually run four to six miles about 5 times a week and try to run a longer distance on weekends. I believe that being active and staying in shape really helps a persons attitude so I like to stay in "shape."
I am in my 34th year of teaching and also coach cross country and track. I enjoy golfing and played a lot this past summer. Music and reading are also big interests of mine. I really enjoy live music, Farm Aid was fun this past summer. Traveling sounds like fun, but I haven't had the time or the "drive" to do much of it the past few years. I think it would be fun to take a train somewhere. I might be retiring in a few years so I hope to have lots of time to do that sort of thing in my future......hope, hope.
I have three wonderful children and a daughter-in-law and love them more than anything in this world. My 23 year old daughter lives with me. She's so bossy:^) We like to watch the Royals on tv and go to games several times a year. She is working on her college degree and should get it by next summer, yeah:^) I'm very proud of her.
