Date single man from Telluride, United States. I was born in London (UK), lived in Rome (Italy), Brussels (Belgium) and Geneva (Switzerland) before coming to the Boston (USA) at age 18. I immediately fell in love with the great outdoors of the American West. I quickly decided that I wanted to become a professional guide and live my life under the open sky, so I moved out to Colorado and got a job guiding rafts on the Arkansas river outside of Salida CO and Ski Patrolling in Telluride CO. Since then I have guided mountains on 4 continents and spent time guiding in Alaska, Colorado and California in the states. 3 years ago with the big 40 coming on I realized that I needed to get serious for a little while and save some money, I was offered a position providing rope access support to pipe line inspection teams in the Arctic oil fields of Alaska. I work up there one month on one off, year round. Although it pays incredibly well coming up here is just down time away from everything I love. My goal is to make enough to put away some money for retirement and then ramp down to one month on, 2 months off. This will give me plenty of time to work on others projects and climb/ski a ton (all over the world). I need to be active, I need high levels of stimulation. I like to laugh and my sense of humor is often a source of frustration to my bosses as well as the fact that I have a tendency to speak my mind at any cost. I could be happy living just about anywhere that has very easy access to large open spaces, so probably not in a city of any size. I like to eat healthy, sleep a lot and get regular exercise. I do drink beer (IPA) and vape when I am not working. Plans never seem to pan out for me, so I tend to just go with the flow of life. Hard to say where or what I'll end up doing/living in the future. Telluride has been my home for 20 years (for some of the year) and I own a small condo there so will always have that as a base. Plus many friends. All my friends would probably describe me as "quirky" if not odd, good natured and high energy.
I can say that I do not have a type. Attraction is mostly chemical for me. My dream lady would want to share the same type of weird existence that I love. She would be happier sleeping in the back of a truck or bivy under the open sky, then in a luxury hotel room. A dream vacation might mean enduring some type of crazy survival experience as the plan turns to S#*%, but all is good if we both return with smiles on our faces and all are limbs attached and functioning. I fully realize this is a tough sell, chances of finding a lady who would even consider this are incalculable, why do you think I am reaching out on the internet? Are you the freak that I seek?
