Meet a man from Colorado, United States. I am a person of varied interests. I live in Colorado because I enjoy the lifestyle, mountains and sunshine. Having grown up in the Midwest and worked there after college, I truly appreciate all Colorado has offered me for over 22 years. A recent three year business adventure in the Midwest confirmed it if I had any doubts. Cycling, hiking, snowshoeing and driving are all great ways to enjoy our beautiful surroundings.
I have two daughters, both married. Both are successful in their careers and have met wonderful partners. They remain in Colorado and each time we are together I marvel at the confident and accomplished adulthood they've achieved.
My life growing up was either traipsing around in Ohio woods and streams observing, catching and collecting all sorts of living organisms (mom loved me) or playing basketball. I guess the mind and heart led to one and the height and heart led to the other. I played basketball in high school and small college, and when I transferred to a major university, I played on the playgrounds and gyms year round. Competitive sports have taught me leadership, teamwork and the importance of fitness. And what a joy (even though my daughters had no desire to play basketball, I think because dad did) that volleyball and fitness are an important part of their lives. Growing up in the Midwest, I knew nothing about volleyball and it was great fun learning it with them; traveling to high school and club tournaments all over Colorado and the US. Needless to say I have been a CSU volleyball season ticket holder for many years.
My career is financially centered in what many consider a nerdy profession. I am not the norm. My college major was wildlife management. Post graduate work took me the financial route. However, my appreciation for our beautiful planet and all it has to offer carries a solid foundation. I try to live each day with as little negative impact as I can accomplish. I am not perfect. But the ability to travel, explore, observe and learn sprouts from the undergraduate education and young boy of wonder. The financial piece demands honesty and integrity. I carry those into my personal life.
After years of a poor work/life balance, I now have a position I love that provides the balance I sought. I enjoy going to work every day, but also appreciate the time available to enjoy other activities. Travel has increased with multiple trips to Europe and Mexico. Small towns in Southern France have shown me how life should be lived and I strive to remember those experiences – great fresh, healthy food and joyous lengthy meals with family and friends. I eat organic as much as possible and feel much better as a result. I enjoy long, slow meals with great company and good wine. But there is much more to learn and experience and I desire to find someone to share the path.
If you watch closely, you may see a tear at movies or when I listen to music. I love music. Music moves me. My music favors Blues, Latin Jazz, Beach (Jimmy Buffet or Kenny Chesney and an umbrella drink), Jazz, World, New Age and Rock. All types find their way to my iPod for work outs. Live music is the best and New West Fest is an annual event. Prairie Dog Blues and Dodgeville Blues Festivals in Wisconsin, Summerfest in Milwaukee, Underground Atlanta, clubs in New Orleans and Chicago, and of course Red Rocks are all great venues. A major Jazz Festival is on the calendar for 2011. Lincoln Center series, OpenStage and Bas Bleu season tickets are parts of my annual cycle. Live events are enjoyed whether it is a sports competition or artistic performance.
This is a flavor of who I am. I’m told I have a warm smile and big heart. I seek someone to share the path of discovery, companionship and love. I envision a partnership where we both learn and achieve more together than we could ever imagine accomplishing alone. I look forward to the opportunity to explore more together.

. I am a hard working man that also likes to take time to have fun. Would like to meet someone that is compatible, healthy and attractive and willing to contribute to a relationship as I am. I will write more later........

. dating is cool...well, at least it was last time I did it.
oops...I need a 200 character minimum...oh geeze. This is where being a man of few words can REALLY screw ya!
I love music, and wit the right amount of the right beverage,I enjoy dancing to it.
I love food...no qualifications there.
I love people, but not everyone, that could get messy.
First thing I look for in a woman is a quick whit - if she has that I bet she has the rest.

. Well it’s been a while since I’ve stopped in. Guess I got busy, that’s life! I’m very active, high energy level, and mesh well with others that are likewise. I work hard and I'm committed to goals I have set for the future. I believe hard work needs to be rewarded, it’s important to never forget how to play. I enjoy skiing, water sports, hiking, working out, working on my house, or cars, etc. Travel and adventure is important, just about any place sunny warm with a sandy beach. I also love the snow and skiing, something I’ve enjoyed since I was a kid. I have a 20-year-old son, he lives at home while attending college, he is quite busy with college and friends, but we still find time to hang and have fun. In another year or so he will be off to one of the state universities to complete his education.
I enjoy adventuresome activities but that doesn’t mean that I have to be doing some wild high speed thing daily in order to be happy. I enjoy concerts, comedy club, dinner theater, or simply spending quiet evening together, cooking, a nice glass of wine, etc. I'm happy with my life but believe it could be even better with the right lady sharing the journey. I believe that romance, love and passion never have to end. I’d like to meet a fun loving lady, good morals, values, adventurous, passionate, positive outlook, intelligent, that is committed to a monogamous relationship. If that makes sense, then we are probably on the same wave length. Shoot me a note and a smile and let’s see what develops. Make it a great day!

. Laughter is not at all a bad beginning for a friendship, and it is by far the best ending for one. My favorite type of woman is the type who makes me laugh. I'm healthy, and I want to stay that way. I think I'm pretty smart... smart enough to know the advantage of being close to an intelligent woman. I like being around happy, healthy, smart people... especially those who can teach me something I don't yet know about these things. I'm very intuitive. I like a dinner date because I'm going to eat anyway, and there's no better way to check out a woman's table manners! I've lived in Colorado on and off since 1972 and other places like Hawaii, California, Florida, Oklahoma, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Germany, and the Azores Islands. Colorado seems like the center of the universe to me and I hope to stay here always, but that could change if love took me somewhere else. I only love women who love me, isn't that sensible? I'm looking for an attractive woman who is friendly, capable, thoughtful, and affectionate. I miss being in love. Do you miss it too?
