I like to laugh and enjoy meeting people with a good sense of humor. I have eclectic interests and like concerts, travel, dancing, theatre and cultural activities and would like to meet someone who likes to do similar stuff. I like to dance, have taken some lessons (Swing, Ballroom and Latin) and think it is a gas. I am a little rusty and haven't gotten out dancing much lately, so at the rate I am going, it will be about 10-15 years before I'll be ready to go on a TV show. That is not my goal though. I also like the standard Colorado outdoor activities, particularly skiing and biking, and am a bit of a political and news junkie. My kids are pretty much grown and I am proud of them, although that may be more of a testament to the resiliency of children than it is to my parenting abilities. For whatever it is worth, I am a ESFP on the Myers-Briggs personaility test.
I think having a good sense of humor and not taking yourself too seriously are important attributes. I also think a positive outlook is a key to happiness and want to be with someone with a similar outlook on life. Another key to happiness, in my opinion, is to focus on family, friends and relationships as well as to do something within your means to help others. Beyond that, I like people who are intelligent and can laugh at some of the goofiness in the world without becoming too cynical about it. Overridingly though, I think that the "chemistry" thing has to be present.

My current way of giving back is making, funding and sending heavy trauma wound kits for our GIs. politically I believe in less government, more environmental effort, more care and kindness for all humans.
I am left re humans and the environment and right when it comes to law and government [protect those that follow it and have less laws]

Date a man from United States. My friends and family closest to me wonder why i do some of the things I do and really it is out of curiosity and perhaps to be different. I laugh easily and a lot at most everything as I see life as a play of drama and comedy that is best dealt with a sense of humor. Having been a professional photographer and paying my bills for over 25 with a camera years was tremendously gratifying. Now I am in a different occupation but love the work and am extremely grateful to have such a great job and oppurtunity.
I have some friends but spend lots of time alone and would like that to change. There are lots of types of humor that crack me up. . First (and it helps if you read this in an English accent)...... thank you for checking out my profile. I emigrated from England over 20 years ago, and have become a citizen. Does that mean I have to change my accent? Sadly, the corny Brit humor is unlikely to go away very quickly. But there is some protection for you, guaranteed in the Constitution. "No citizen shall be required to think the British sense of humor is actually funny".
Most of my photos are fairly recent. The good news is that I have been told I look like my photos. The bad news is that I have been told I look like my photos.
Variety is the spice of life and what better place to experience this than in Colorado? I enjoy being outdoors - hiking, skiing, golf - but also like the movies, theatre, cultural events. Liking the outdoors, I am reasonably adventurous, but have no great desire to throw myself out of a plane. When the pilot says "We recommend that you fasten your seat belts like we do in the cockpit"..... that sounds like pretty good advice to me.
So what's missing? Easy answer.......That one special person with whom to share my life and all that this beautiful place and great country have to offer (and who would laugh at my stupid jokes.) Would you be kind enough to say nice things about my cooking, even if I have kept you waiting so long that you would eat just about anything?
But when all is said and done, I believe that there is still a place for a chivalry and courtesy in today's world...... and that romance and passion are alive, too. Could you imagine friends throwing a bucket of cold water over us because we got a little carried away kissing under the mistletoe at New Year's? If so, let's meet, find some mistletoe and a bucket..... and start practising for the holidays.
