Date a man from Colorado, United States. I'm a former New Yorker, grew up on Long Island and lived in Manhattan for 14 years. I've been in Colorado for about 20 years. I've had my own business in the Cable TV industry for 12 years, sold it 5 years ago and started a software business in the same industry. Have done alot of work in Latin America so have traveled there often. Some more in no particular order: I love almost all outdoor activities/sports - at this point its mostly golf and working out, but hopefully I'll do more hiking, skiing and fishing in the future. I need to learn how to fly fish. Maybe some basketball and baseball. Am now trying Yoga. I'm adventurous (been sky diving, scuba diving, to Africa, sat with Grizzly Bears in Alaska, walked with sharks in the Galapagos, went shopping the day after Christmas). I consider myself witty, intelligent, with a good sense of humor, although that may not be apparent here. I love music - I own 2 guitars - some day I'll actually pick them up and play them. I was born on Friday the 13th! - you'll have to decide what that means. I'm easy going and low maintenance but I am fully capable of enjoying the finer things in life. I'm modest - but that may not be apparent here. I also hate writing about myself - and clearly that is not obvious at the moment.My match?? - ok, here she is..... Someone to share the rest of my life with. She's intelligent, adventurous, has a good sense of humor, we share some common interests but at the same time are free to explore our own individuality. She's not afraid to speak her mind and let me know how she feels. She absolutely believes that the world revolves around me (just checking if you're paying attention!). She tolerates most of my imperfections (OK, there are a couple). As I contemplate my next sentence, I realize that I'm starting to create an impossible scenario. So the right combination of some of these qualities will probably work - most important is chemistry, for lack of a better word. Something that we feel for each other that words won't do justice for.

Date someone special from United States. I am not very good a describing myself, I guess I better write something. I really like the outdoors and exploring. I very much enjoy just getting in the car and driving to new places. I will often stop in towns and find the local coffee shop or breakfast place, just to see what the town is like.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I guess I have to say that I'm a person who believes that having fun is a priority in life. For me having fun with my boys, my partner/mate, and with my work is paramount and that "fun" is very infectious. I can't think of a better way to keep a smile on my face! Having fun all day long relieves the stresses and pressure that "WE" will deal with together.
When I sit here trying to write all the things I enjoy, I come up with a list a mile long and well over the 4000 word limit. So if you don't see something on my list, don't assume it's not a like. Some biggies (and not in any priority order) golfing, deep sea-fishing, live music, concerts, fine dining, dive bars, hiking, traveling, traveling, traveling, sporting events, movies, cuddling, cuddling, cuddling, intelligent conversation, showing my affection for my partner...... the list goes on and on.
Another thing about me is that I love a challenge. I thrive in an environment where I have a goal to work to (be it long or short term). Life is a challenge and I enjoy minute of working my way through it, not alone though, but with my partner reveling in the achievement of reaching "our" goal.
I am also not an "I" person. If you don't like the word "WE" then I'm not your guy. I'm not saying that I'm a needy person at all....I'm saying that I love the "sharing" part of a relationship. Hope u do too!
I am also a very patient person. Guess that comes from my teaching days (music and math). "WE" aren't going to get things right all the time, but knowing that "WE" are trying (doing all we can) is more than enough for me. For me, its what's inside that counts.
All I have left to say is that there is so much to learn about me that I hope you take a chance and let me pleasantly surprise you.

This is tough, I'm a numbers guy by trade and guess a typical "male" in that it's tough to express onesself....I live in Leadville but spend the majority of my time here in Denver where I'm a self employed CPA, living in Washington Park. My summer project is to convert my Leadville home to a duplex...I missed my calling, should have been a "numbers strong" general contractor....I'm a recovering workaholic, who has worked too hard the past ten years to put my two kids thru school with no loans and now I'm looking for someone to be a friend, have some fun with and eventually morph into my best friend, someone to get old with and to share old, and have new, life experiences with. When I graduated from college I left Indiana for Vail, and was a white collar ski bum, and am now working on getting back to that young mountain man form. I used to raft and kayak and wouldn't mind taking that up again with a partner. Even get my legs back into shape to telemark again (Go Tele on the Mountain, at Loveland at least one morning a week...) I spend too much time in the office and need a reason to get out and be my old self. My ideal match would be someone who likes the mountains, the outdoors including outdoor sports, and also likes city life, theatre, etc...a balance between the two..and would like to possibly take up sailing, buy a boat on Dillon (Im on the waiting list for an elec slip) and work on our golf games. When camping I love to park my van down by the river, just like the character Matt Foley of SNL used to talk about (look it up, it and the Halloween takeoff, are two of the best SNL skits ever... We must also have commonality of religious views. My lifestyle goal is to work in Denver 3 days per week and spend the balance up in the mountains or traveling. Opening up a Vail office is in the works for the 2012/2013 tax season. I visited relatives in Norway last summer and looking for the next adventure...and someone to travel with...
