Hi! How are you doing? Thanks for stopping by. Some personal background: I'm 39 and was born and raised in the Midwest. I moved to Colorado when I was 19 and and went to school at CU Boulder. I currently live in the Denver area. Personality wise I'm friendly, low key and down to earth. Optimistic, always looking for the positive side of things. Structured when it comes to my workday but relaxed when I come home. I have a lot of different interests: movies, salsa dancing, skiing, running, working out and art. I'd like to do more traveling-I'd really like to see the ruins of Abu Simbel someday. I also like to volunteer for the Arts Festival over the fourth of July weekend.
As for what I'm looking for in a girl, someone who is spontaneous, energetic, smart and funny. Someone who can join me for a day of skiing or snowshoeing. Social, likes to go out in the evenings or enjoys the occasional evening at home. Thanks for reading up-

I'll start by saying that I really do think that most (all) of my friends and family would say I am a "nice" guy. Some may think that's not so great, I'm okay with it. It's true. I am almost always nice, and funny, and usually optimistic. Nice guys may finish last, but at least when I finish I'll still be a nice guy.
I might as well also admit that I'm a bit of a geek. I don't mean that I have poor hygine or a funny laugh, nor am I totaly lacking in social skills. But, I do like science fiction and fantasy.
I like hiking, fishing, and camping. I want to try new things. But, I'm not the guy who is outdoors every weekend. I think that on far too many of these profiles people say they want to go to Paris, Spain, China... Well, I do want to go to those places too. But, I'm also realistic enough to know that I may only get to go once in my life (or never). So, I will just enjoy the country and state I live in as much as I can. It really is more about who you are with than where you go.
I usually have a hard time knowing what to say about myself. That includes sending first time e-mails. However, I really don't think that I'm boring. It just takes a while to get to know me.
I think that I really am the guy who will be quiet, and not say anything for a long time. Then, when I get to know someone, or find a topic for discussion, I can talk for a long time.
I try not to dwell on it, but I do think politics are somewhat important. I say that I'm liberal, really I'm more middle of the road. I think that I would get along fine with anyone who is not far right.
I think that dating is finding things out. It's not just learning about what your date does, and does not, like. It's also finding out what is important to you, what you thought you would and would not need or like. I like to learn about people, and have them learn about me. But, from the start, I would rather be honest. It does me no good to say I'm a race car driver, baseball player, country singer, in this profile. Someone might figure out by the third date that some of it just isn't true.

I love going to places I've never been. I've been to 27 of the 50 states and plan to hit em all. I'm not into the bar scene but enjoy an occasional game of pool or darts. I love the outdoors...mostly in the summertime. I like trying new restaurants but I also like cooking at home...especially barbeque. I like watching football and baseball but mostly NASCAR. amount of responsibility so I dont sweat the small stuff like drama or gossip. I am a very patient craftsmen but often frustrated by stupidity. Hopefully she is very comfortable in her own skin, has good humor, and even a little sourcasm. Without being a ratical athlete, she must enjoy staying in shape. Most important though she must be giver as am I.
. Wow-this is kinda hard. I am a pretty black and white person, but there's a lot of detail. A little shy, maybe, but I have an awful lot of confidence. I have a great sense of humor, am a good listener and am very romantic. I love the mountains and all things natural. I'm the kind of person that takes the spider outside rather than kill it. But on the other hand, I love to hunt and fish and will squish a mosquito pretty quickly, lol....
I am proud of who and what I am and I take pride in my partner-I believe that the other person generally comes first. I believe that when you are together, everything is together. Well, except clothes. I won't do that, lmao...
I am a musician, martial artist, very good with my hands and can fix pretty near anything. I believe in God and our Republic and freedom and love. I always have a positive outlook and I really don't stress too much. Kind of a perfectionist...I would rather die than break a promise and I think that honesty usually is the best policy.

I am very into the outdoors and romantic get-a-ways -- I am a consumate professional but love to play -- looking for that special lady that can spontaneously go "play in the mud" mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding all day, then quick shower off, get dressed up and head off to a five star restaurant and a play, symphony or the like all in the same day -- and feel equally comfortable in both environments.
My family is extremely important to me, and my professional and whimsical life are balanced with family gatherings and celebrations.
