Date someone special from United States. I am a engineer who likes to keep active. Things I like are a bike ride around the Farmers' Highline Canal Trail, although autumn can be tough on my tires because of the thorns, a hike in the mountains (Gross resevoir is a nice place to go), a concert, or a nice restaurant (I don't have a favorite). Living in Colorado is a dream because the weather is almost perfect most of the time. Fortunately for me my life is not my job and I have time to do these things. It is important to me to balance career and personal life. At this point in my life I am pleased with my career. Friends and family are important to me and I help them out when I can. The relationship I admire the most is my grandparents. They have been married 67 years and counting. Another passion I have is travel whether it is in the US or abroad. Recently I went to China and really enjoyed taking in the culture and life in Hong Kong. As for the US I am trying to visit all of the National Park areas. So far I have been to 100. As for my personality I am open minded, kind and straightforward. I like to be romantic. I am the guy that will bring you flowers on a random Thursday just to brighten your great day even more. As for who I am looking for she should be a joie de vivre. I am looking for someone with a sense of self worth and who can handle themselves like a champ at a party. People would also say that I am a bundle of contradictions, i.e.: I favor capitalism but advocate for social justice. I like the mountain lifestyle but love Wash D.C. and Chicago. I mine for data but try to be pragmatic. I like to dine out-tent side or window side in the city. I like detailed people but I talk in concepts. I like having conversations with you when you take the opposing view and we have a verbal duel, then we laugh…. hug…kiss…and make up… I like to be serious and goal oriented but I also like to let it all out and have a fun time! 'Fun time' for me generally includes either having a great outdoor experience or trying a new dish in the city, could also mean having a conversation or experience that casuses me to think and is so impactful that I consider it a life evolving / altering moment. Recently I have gone from having rather conservative views but am now moving towards being a moderate conservative, my grandfather would think that I am making progress!
In my time away from work I volunteer, read a lot, participate in community events, and hike/bike/trail run/ski esp skate skiing.
A relationship w/ a significant other is a very important part of ones life. It requires a sense of self understanding first and then the relationship takes that even further. The relationships that I admire all have some things in common: best friends, similar parenting approach, continue to go on dates, laugh and smile w/ e/o a lot, play together and maintain individuality all at the same time. And believe it or not but none of them met on �The Bachelor’! Relationships are sources of strength, trust, encouragement, growth, and fun! There are times of angst and hurt feelings in relationships, that is the vulnerability that we all risk, it is okay as long as there is commitment to learn from the times that we hurt e/o and not to repeat those actions again.

. I have been blessed to be raised in a wonderful family with good values. I love my family and want to share them with a mate. I enjoy doing or seeing almost anything. You'll never find a more honest or loyal friend. I hope to retire early and perhaps spend 6 months living in different areas all over the USA and the world. I was born and raised in the Midwest, 3rd of 5 kids. I love my brother and sisters to death and cheer them on with each success and lend a hand when things get tough. I enjoy most sports and still participate recreationally (Is that a word:). I lift weights most days and like to go for short 3-5 mile walks on my off days. I'm up for any adventure but I will probably never run a half marathon with you, but I don't expect you to bench press 400 lbs either. I do promise you will never go to bed after running without a good massage after your race. I'm a very intimate person and love to use my hands.

As far as what I'm looking for: I really like to meet an honest woman, someone who may want to keep some things private but realizes to really connect being open is key. I'd like to meet someone who has a good heart and is loyal to the relationship. Someone who realizes that for a marriage to be successful we must work as a team. Love is a choice and we should strive to give it and that's when we will receive.
