Date a boy from Colorado, United States. Born and raised in the Denver area and yes, I pride myself as a Colorado native. Not many of us around, at least that I have met. I love being outdoors whether it's raining, snowing or the sun is shining. I also have a bit of a dangerous/ nerd side and like to chase the occasional thunderstorm. The weather shouldn't keep you from having fun but a lazy day can be good as well. I'm pretty laid back and easy going. A BBQ with friends at a park and a few games that may include some alcoholic beverages can be a relaxing day away from work. I'm always open to hanging out with the friends of someone I'm dating but also value their needs to have a "girls night out." I do have a competitive side and enjoy playing sports, especially hockey. With that comes the watching of sports and going to games. Any local professional sport I am a fan of. My sense of humor is generally sarcasm but that doesn't mean I can't make someone laugh, which is one of my favorite things to do. A good sense of humor is required. Okay, maybe exaggerating some on the required part, but not really. My childhood fear of flying has begun to dwindle away so I'm starting to travel when I get the time. Even if it's just a weekend getaway to the mountains, Vegas or where ever.
I believe that little things do mean a lot and that actions speak louder than words. Doing something sweet and romantic for no apparent reason is important to me and I look for that in a person as well. Family and friends are very important to me so I look for someone who values their relationships with those closest to them. They are the foundation of who you are and they should never be compromised. I know it sounds cliche, but honesty and communication go a long way to having a happy, successful relationship. Most of all, though, I'm seeking not just a partner but my best friend.

So, this is where I have to describe myself and what I want in a relationship...well, if I had to describe myself or "label" myself I would say that I am a self proclaimed redneck and a gearhead. I am a conservative and I am outspoken, but I'm learning as I get older the appropriate time and place to vocalize my opinions, and when to keep my mouth shut. I do believe everyone has a right to their own opinion, and we should ALL have the right to free speech. It seems our society has become extremely polarized pitting one side against the other, creating tension and hostility. I tend to take a step back from politics and remind myself what's really important in this life. Family and friends are utmost priority to me, and I'm very appreciative I've got great stable employment and have been blessed to have worked for the same employer for over 22 years now. I own my own house and I'm not looking for anyone to take care of me, financially or domestically. I am extremely independent, not a mama's boy in any sense of the term, although I do love my mother (and my dad as well). I would really like to find someone that enjoys a lot of the same things I do. I own a Harley and I love to ride, would be awesome to find a woman that owns and rides her own bike. I however am not opposed to a passenger on the back of my bike. I think it would be kick ass if a woman could tell me what the firing order of a small block Chevy engine is, yet still have some feminine qualities about her. Also please be somewhat conservative, I have dated liberal women in the past and it just didn't work out well for me. We don't have to agree 100% of the time, but some common ground would be nice. After all, we're supposed to compliment eachother, right? I've always been of the mentality that a relationship takes teamwork. We have to be on the same page to be successful.
