Time for an update/rewrite. I've been on and off this site and dated a couple of amazing women. Just can't seem to find that fit that I'm looking for.
There are a few things in my old profile that I will keep since they still apply. Such as: "I'm laid back and easy going, flip flops and torn jeans kinda guy. I have 2 amazing kids (who are everything to me), very energetic, enjoy cycling, golf, music (musician at heart) and I love to travel.
LIKES:
-Fine Wine (doesn't have to be expensive either)

-Folding Laundry (a necessary evil unfortunately)
-Talking on the phone (most guys fall into this category I think)
-The fact that my body is getting older but my mind and heart are still young
-Cleaning windows (another necessary evil)
My friends would say that I'm thoughtful, genuine, happy, easy going, care free, generous and a great father. I love my family unconditionally and we share a close bond. I have a small group of friends and I try to stay close to all of them. Yes, I carry some baggage but don't we all. It's all in how well it's packed so it can fit in the overhead bin (... be careful opening the overhead bins as items may have shifted during the flight.) ;-) Honestly, my baggage is very limited and well packed.

High desert, incredible mountains, 4 seasons, 300 days of sun a year and most of the time great snow, what else could you want? All right, I know from reading a few profiles a lot of you are beach people and I get it. Well I guess when I need a break from all the great things here I can always hit the beach for a vacation.
Just some of the activities I enjoy doing in the great outdoors is hiking, camping, golf, fly fishing, skiing, snow shoeing and mountain biking. I have decided this coming spring I am going to try road biking, maybe it will be one more activity added to the list.
I am a very easygoing person and enjoy diversity in my life. Cooking a special meal in or finding a new place out, going to a sporting event or the theatre, an early morning run or a whole Sunday never getting out of bed, exploring another continent or right here in my own backyard known as Colorado I am usually up for most anything. I enjoy staying physically active; I do not belong to a gym but drop in somewhere a couple times a week to take different classes or work 1 on 1 with different trainers. Yes it is rather pricey doing it this way but again it is all about diversity.
I have worked for the same company for the last 5 years and I have a great job I really enjoy. I am a huge animal lover especially dogs but do not currently have one. There is some travel at times with my job; it is not a huge amount but enough to make me feel guilty about getting another dog at this time.
Who I am looking for:
I think it will be easier ruling out the people I know I don’t want first. Anyone who is superficial, self-centered and considers lying to be just bending the truth. Even if you live in a life of denial deep down you know who you are. I have no issues with single mothers and welcome it if the situation is right. The first thing I look at is if you have been on your own for sometime living a happy and healthy life with your child. I realize it can be very difficult as a new single parent but please understand I want to find someone who has already found their way through that transition and has come out the other side with good balance between work, social and home life. Please know that you are comfortable and happy in your current situation before wanting to get to know me.
What I am looking for is someone who can make me smile and laugh, a person who wants to find someone they can be completely open and honest with and is willing to take that risk with me. I am looking for someone with a sarcastic sense of humor but is not mean. You currently live an example of a healthy lifestyle, not an extremist, just healthy. I want to have good intelligent conversations mixed with the absurd. If you want to debate politics all the time I am not the person for you. Sometimes a little bit shy at first.One of the things I am most passionate about is home improvement projects. I love taking an old house a fixing it up the way I want it to be. I am done with my current project and am looking for another. I also like to garden. My garden is not real big but it is just right for me. I like to use the fresh food when I cook. I have taken a lot of cooking classes and I can really throw down in the kitchen. Nothing like going to the farmers market and grabbing a nice bottle of wine. I am also pretty good on the grill. If I am at a BBQ you will fing me with an ice cold beer manning the grill. I exercise about three times a week and try to eat healthy most of the time. Anything outdoors is also a good time. I ski and snowboard. I also like to hike in the warmer months.
