I've had several careers, lived in a few different places, all in the U.S., and love activities of most kinds. I'm usually up to try new things at least once (except food, not too adventurous in that area). My current passion is learning golf, which is no easy task - I seriously underestimated how hard this #*&% game is!! I haven't yet thrown the clubs in the lake but they've been warned several times. I also hang glide, usually in the summers but one winter went down to New Mexico on a week long hang gliding trip. I head south to New Mexico a few times a year for the "good air" down there. By day I'm a doc with a very varied schedule, but always seem to have time to play. No, I'm not always on the go, in fact I can be found lounging around with the best of them. I'm not much of a planner, and tend to decide what to do on the spur of the moment. I'm also not too neat around the house, it's not gross or disgusting but it's pretty obvious a bachelor lives here; occasionally there's a frantic cleanup before my mother comes to visit from Kansas. For cleanliness sake, she should probably come more often! I tend to get involved, or at least worked up, over political issues of the day. If you think GWB was a hero, we probably won't have too many peaceful dinner conversations! We might have fun debating the issue but frankly, I'm looking for someone I can share a life with, or at least have fun together without drama or stress (!), and while a teapartier and I might have fun debating, I don't see how it could turn into something meaningful and long lasting. I am open minded and have many conservative friends, but I'm looking for a partner with values similar to mine so we won't argue over which charities to donate to! I try to expend some energy in a constructive direction, and am on several committees in the state trying to improve health care and other peoples lives. While I want to have a comfortable life ( and I think I do!), I think it's important to give something back and to try to make the world a better place for the next person! Sounds a little sappy but it's true!

I retired in 2001 to provide 24X7 care for him. He has responded well and recently his mother has taken more of an interest in his life, but I still have him a significant amount of time and still manage all aspects of his life. About the one I'm looking for...Even though I feel like I am running around at warp speed most of the time I still find I miss the warm and kind love of a caring woman. She is attractive inside and out. Patient and caring for others, tactful, a giver, likes or is willing to learn how to play pool. It's my recreational passion- not a deal breaker if she doesn't but someone who does get extra points if she becomes my scotch doubles partner:-). Given my current station in life with my son it goes without saying that she must be tolerant and patient. I won't say that she has to be a pool player, but having a good scotch doubles partner is never a bad thing :-)! She will not be imposed upon to raise my son (should things develop between us). 2. If you are thinking " Nice guy, really sacrificed for his son..., could have some potential but he would have to give that POOL thing up, please save yourself the trouble of eventualIy being rejected and Pass me by. You have a right to your interests, but so do I. I would never try to make my partner stop doing what they love to do, but I also expect the same courtesy when it comes to my interests. :-)
3. If you are doing the dating thing to find someone to work on your car, your house, your landscape, PASS me by! I have a beautiful home and car of my own. I take very good care of them and do not need more of those duties on my plate! :-)
