I love sports (mostly football, soccer, and hockey, but I'm an ESPN-junkie in general) and I love the outdoors (hike, mountain bike, mountain climb - working on 14ers righ now, rafting, camping, surf-kayak - when I lived in FL at least, well you get the picture). I grew up on the east coast and have lived in Colorado for over 10 years now. Colorado definitely feels like home. I thought about moving once but then I came to my senses.

I am teaching myself how to play guitar but i am pretty sure my sister got all of the musical talent in the family. Maybe cowbell is more my thing. But don't let my lack of musical talent fool you. I love checking out live music at the classics like Bluebird and Ogden.

ABOUT ME
If you haven't guessed by now, I'm Chinese, but am frequently mistaken for Hawaiian or Samoan. I am the youngest of three with two older sisters. They're both happily married with children whom I adore. Although I tend to find myself ecstatic to hand them back to their parents at the end of the day when they get fussy. I was born and raised in Colorado, then high-tailed it to San Francisco when I was 20. I spent 7 influential years there where I made many acquaintances and a few life-long friendships. I'm liberal, liberal, liberal. I believe that an person is entitled to their own beliefs, but shouldn't become offended when another individual disagrees with them. Debate educates the soul but I can't stand ignorance. I dislike celebrating my birthday, not because I've grown a year older, but because my mother died 10 days before it two years ago. I enjoy people-watching at a baseball game rather than watching the actual game of baseball. Clowns freak me out. I go to concerts often, really often. My taste in music is comparable to my taste in food - I dig variety and I don't mind paying for quality but nothing beats 10 bucks for a show and $5.99 for a good bowl of Pho. I work in an industry built on a foundation of sex and violence, yes television. I've convinced myself that it's another form of storytelling. What I do won't save the world, but it also won't destroy it either, hopefully, and besides I love what I do. I'm a art school dork. My favorite flowers are Stargazer Lilies. I drink alcohol about 5 times a year because I've inherited the dreaded Asian person turns beet-red then crazy pale when an ounce of liquor mixes with bodily fluids syndrome. My laugh has been described as a cackle by my friend Chris. A crazy China-man chicken cackle to be specific.
WHO I'M LOOKING FOR
I want a partner that can hold her own in a relationship. Someone that isn't afraid to tell me that I'm wrong, especially when I think that I'm not. A bit of a smart-ass, tempered with a sweet disposition. She is not easily offended and can laugh at a dirty joke. A street-smart woman with good ethics and believes that rewards will be reaped from hard work, even though sometimes that's not the case. She can take care of herself and loves her friends and family. She is kind to strangers and animals. She is passionate about what she does, and is confident in who she is as an individual. A woman who can laugh at herself when she makes a mistake, who isn't afraid to fart in public while pointing at me with a "he did it" face. Ok, that last one was bit of a stretch, hopefully you catch my drift.
An addendum, I need someone to be able to communicate her feelings, cause to be honest I find it difficult to express mine when in a relationship. Although I do try. I'm learning more and more, through hard examples in life that talking clearly and honestly can make all the difference in the world. Not to get too "life-lessony", but whether it's bad news or good, telling someone the complete picture is usually always the way to go.
