As for some of my traits: I am a complete dork and love to make people laugh. I will say what's on my mind and don't play games when it comes to certain things in my life (kids and convictions for example). I am easy going in day to day life but also am very driven for what I want out of life. I love anything outdoors: Hiking, camping, backpacking, 4-wheeling, swimming, kayaking...you name it and I will either do it or try it. I want to experience life and make my as many of my days count. OH, and a side note...I really want to try skydiving. I also enjoy movies, music and hanging out with friends-family. I don't do the bar scene or clubs because that's not what I am looking for. One of my pet peeves is when people don't do everything to the best of their ability or while lacking passion. I believe if your going to do anything, regardless of if its work or fun, that you do it full tilt.
Traveling is also one of my favorite things to do, pretty much go anywhere.

About me-
Well I am an Army Veteran, a returning college student and a father. I really am a family man, and am here in hopes to find someone to grow old with and who can also be a good mother to my son. It's a scary thing to be asked to be a mother to a boy who isn't your own, but if you read this far I applaud you and even if we never talk; let me tell you now that you are an amazing person to have the ability to start a relationship with someone with a child already! If I were to get married to a woman who already has one child (so 2 children between the both of us) I would like to have another with her (so 3 all together). If she already has 2 I would still consider it, but raising more than 3 children sounds a little intimidating to me. Right now I consider my body type to be about average; I had a major surgery in 2009 and it's been hard to recover from, but I am working on it. I think the hardest part of going to the gym for me is that I don't like to go alone. Yea I am kinda short at 5'9", 5'10" ish, but it did make me a smaller target for the enemy to hit when I was at war ;p I would rather be happy and having fun than having to be serious or upset. I do like science fiction; for example I love the original Star Wars trilogy. If you have questions about my time in the Army, just ask; but don't ask if I've ever killed anyone. I get asked that all the time, and I know that you don't know(so I am telling you), but it is rude to ask that. I am a Christian and my home church is an Evangelical Free church. I don't go as often as I should, but my faith is still important to me.
Who I'm looking for-
This is really hard to describe, and for me I think this changes. That is to say, I don't want to put out a cookies cutter image of what I am looking for; that's just not realistic. Besides, it's nice to be surprised from time to time and fall in love with someone who you would never have imagined loving. I will say that I am done with smokers and I am done with people who say they are quitting, because in my experience they never do. I even tried to smoke a few times (if you can't beat them, join them thing), but it just never caught on for me. That said, I like to push my boundaries to accommodate new things that my significant other likes; although I will say that I am stubborn and it may take some effort convincing me depending on what you want me to do. I am looking for someone who holds family to be important, someone who is genuine and someone who can challenge me to be a better man in an uplifting way.

Im a 28 year old Texas transplant living in Broomfield. I moved to Colorado to experience something outside of the Texas way of life, but mostly to excape the heat. After finishing a culinary dagree at Johnson & Wales I landed a job with a local company as their Executive Chef and R&D Department Director and quickly learned restaurants only scratch the surface of the culinary world. Our company developes recipes sold in all fifty states with Target, Safeway, Kroger, Walmart, and many others. Needless to say I love my career but I am always looking for the next step.
Outside of work I am an extremely active person! i love all sports but baseball, football, and golf would be my top three that get most of my attention. I work out s much as I can but by no means would i consider myself a "health nut", so I'll skip a couple day, eat what ever I want, and I still look good.
