Date men from United States / Colorado / Boulder, 37 year old - page 2

Date someone special from United States. I moved to Boulder from New York after a 10 year detour in California, during which I led backpacking trips, taught outdoor ed and had many adventures. I cherish spontaneity and rambunctious belly-aching laughter. I am a rock star (well in my head at least). I like to teach, learn, to love and be loved. I am a searcher and everything that encompasses.
I've travelled all over North and South America (love Peru and Brazil, Alaska and the Yukon), as well as Europe and Australia. I have a sincere desire to interact with all kinds of people (from folks I meet on the trail to the cafe), enjoy a good glass of wine and a good cup of coffee, but I don't like beer (I know I know, it's an acquired taste - but at this point I haven't acquired it and I'm ok with that). I really enjoy geeking out on science (space, nature), photography and pop culture (music, moves and books). And I seem to have an affinity for parentheticals.
June: I'm in Prague, sitting at a streetside cafe, sipping Czeck wine, watching people stroll by. A couple stops in front of me; he taking pictures, she posing head back, hair falling down, foot raised, leg bent, smiling. And it hits me how much I want that., not her, but rather the partner to share the adventures with, to lean from, to pose in our pictures together, to explore life. It's the romantic in me, what can I say?
And, in the end, I am more than the sum of these words.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I dislike this self-classification, but it needs to be done for this online weirdness so I'll throw all my strange cards down as best I can:
A coalescence of goofy and sincere (read: geek!). I'm a strong man who thrives with a strong woman. I am thoroughly sapiosexual (If you don't know it, Google it...I'll wait). I am an excellent listener and one of those folks that friends take for coffee and spill their guts to. I WILL ask you how your day's been and really want to know. I'm some sort of bad boy hipster geek who loves music of all types but am mostly fixated on Alt.Americana as of this moment.
I seem to get along better with kids half my age. I grew up an angry punk rock kid on the streets of Baltimore, all sex, drugs rock n' roll, I still have that punk rock spirit but most of my patterns have changed as I got older, though. I'm cynically respectful, cautiously spiritual (Raised with Jewish guilt but I've shed that in favor of something that looks a lot like Buddhism), goal oriented (I'm currently in Nursing School), and very laid back in an intense sort of way.
Everybody thinks they have a great sense of humor; of course, I can be witty and occasionally sarcastic, hell, meet me and decide that for yourself.
When I "grow up" I want to write for a living. I've had several stories and poems published. I prefer my conversations grounded in reality though I do live in Boulder, CO so I understand Woo-Woo fluently...I'm ashamed to admit.
I think heavy conversations are great as long as you can see through the prism of absurdity and are able to laugh at yourself. I laugh a good bit and smile even more. I'm looking for a partner who can slam through all the silliness with me and land on the ground...safe in my large loving arms. A great match would be someone steeped in culture but not pretense...self-aware, spiritually aware and physically aware. I am rambling on the road toward those things and hope the road doesn't end too damn soon.
I've been really gettin' into riding my motorcycle lately, It's a classic '72 Triumph, right this second it's in pieces but I've got an extra leather for you to ride on the back this spring. Or maybe you've got your own bike...even better!
Love movies, art, camping, hiking, reading and writing, working out whenever I get the chance. I'd love for someone to introduce me to climbing. Love seeing live music, I'm a sucker for bad sci-fi and I tend to geek out on the stuff I'm into at any given moment. I soak in details and kick ass at Trivial Pursuit. I love the way the BBC pronounces words, I believe what NPR tells me...mostly.
I find the mundane fascinating…what fascinates you?

Date single man from United States. I'm a fun loving guy that likes to play in the outdoors. I enjoy trail running, hiking, whitewater kayaking, rafting, and traveling in general.
I'm looking to find a partner I really connect with on an emotional and sexual level. I believe the intimatesexual connection between two people is the most important (and mysterious) aspect of a relationship.
The woman I'm looking for should know what she wants and not be afraid to go after it. She should be self-confident, beautiful and intelligent. She should like to have meaningful conversations as well as just have fun.
Ideally she would enjoy playing in the outdoors as much as I do and take very good care of herself physically. She would make a good living of her own, have flexible time-off and love to travel.

Meet a man from United States. I like hanging out with friends and family, playing sports, and relaxing on weekends. That doesn't exactly differentiate me from the crowd, does it? ; ) OK, here's some more-unique stuff about me:
- I have a home office, so I don't have the opportunity to meet any potential dates through work. On the positive side of things, the 5-second commute is wonderful.
- I have been to every continent except Antarctica, and I have actually circumnavigated the globe twice.
- I once played one and a half games of an ultimate frisbee double-header after fracturing a bone. If I was a member of a smarter gender, I might have stopped playing when it got really painful. But alas, I am male.
- I have spent most of my career in and around the pharmaceutical industry (first as a process development engineer, and then as a consultant). So I can truthfully say that I have made drugs (but only the legal kind!)
What am I looking for? Ideally, I'm looking for someone who's intelligent, fit and active, funny, attractive, kind, playful, honest, and just enjoys life. If you have a fair number of the qualities above, I'd definitely like to hear from you. If you have some fun and interesting stories to tell, I would be interested in hearing them too!

Date someone special from Boulder, United States. Spoiler alert! I'm one of the many transplanted souls who made his way here to hike, camp, ski, bike, run, climb, and catch great live music...all those Colorado highlights. You'll find me laughing constantly, and I'll most likely get you going too. I come from a large, somewhat riotous family, and love my bevy of nieces & nephews. I've even been asked to take on the godfather role five times, but I'll spare you the attempt at a Marlon Brando impression.
Standard sales pitch aside, what else is relevant or random? I grew up in Singapore, got stitched up a dozen times, can devour a tray of lasagna without packing on pounds, tend to run endurance races spontaneously, and own my own genuine lederhosen (Oktoberfest requires it). I served twice in Afghanistan, the last time as a senior advisor to their government, and still write about the experiences. If you met me at a festival in the mountains, you'd probably never guess that part.
I love this great state, and can't wait for another Colorado summer - the nonstop energy of NYC was great for years, but I packed up and moved here in '09 and haven't looked back. Seeing new sights and expanding cultural horizons are always immensely important to me, and I've treated my time spent in various parts of the world as adventure travel. I'd just rather do so in my own clothes (sans uniform) and on my own timeline, and ideally with someone special.
Hopefully you're open to embracing life, love, depth, creativity and spontaneity. I'm impressed by anyone who can enjoy a 14er hike, a ballgame, or an art museum with ease and a lot of laughs. The Denver vs. Boulder divide is really amusing to me -- maybe because I like a lot about each, and can easily live in either one. So regardless of exact location...if you're up for an adventure, can hang on a trail, and enjoy a wicked sense of humor, feel free to drop me a line!

Meet a soulmate from Boulder, United States. I take life as it comes. Through so many experiences...good and bad my perspectives are clear. I am passionate about being compassionate. I am passionate about staying healthy. I am passionate about justice. I am passionate about good music. I am passionate about experiencing life to the fullest in every way!

Date single man from Boulder, United States. My ideal match is quietly confident, intelligent and happy. She values her relationships and is good at fostering new ones. I'm not much into the "dating game". Genuineness and honesty are more attractive to me and get more attention from me than games or playing hard to get. Dating is hard and it takes a lot of time. If you are like me, your time is precious, so why not use your time wisely? I aim to find a relationship, not try and fill my social calendar.
I need to be involved with a woman who is passionate about skiing, cycling and outdoor travel and adventure. It's great to have other interests (can anyone help me re-learn spanish?), but some past relationships have gone flat when we didn't share the desire to take long weekend trips to Jackson or go on a hut to trip to the San Juans or a trip to the Alps. Cycling and river trips to the desert are fun, too. And I like live music, mostly new bands these days. Phantogram, Youth Lagoon, Zola Jesus are recent favorites. These are all important parts of my life in CO and I hope to share them with my partner.
Cooking is an interest of mine. Don't get too excited, I'm certainly not a trained chef, but I enjoy a night at home preparing food. I get to eat out a lot when I am working and prefer to go to the local market and pick out some fresh food when I am home. I like reading. Recently, I've been picking books with a historical or non-fictional theme. Killing Lincoln is a great example of books I like. Books that are set in Boston are fun because I miss that part of my life even though I don't ever see myself moving back. Most of my my family lives there. The City Below is a good example of a book set in Boston and a great read. And I like checking out museums. I spent 8 days in Paris and loved the Centre de Pompidou. Western Art Museum in Cody is a hidden gem. I don't visit the Denver Museums enough. Maybe soon...?
Well, if you check out my profile and are interested send me a note or a wink. I am open to meeting new people and maybe we'll click.

Meet a soulmate from Colorado, United States. Despite dosing myself with a healthy amount of code and computers for work, I manage to enjoy life most in the blurred surroundings from atop my mountain bike, and snowboard. For me there is nothing quite like making my way up a random rocky beauty and letting life ride! Finding a measure of intensity from mere senses interacting with natural surroundings keeps me camping, hiking, and firing on all cylinders.
Looking is perhaps the dance on the edge of happiness and discontent, but to find someone to share my world with makes getting a few cuts worth the risk, a lady of happiness and fun is more than enough to ask for.
