I was a radio DJ from high school into my 30s. I still love to take my ipod to parties and try and mix classic rock, blues and country into the group. Those genres all came from the same roots and I like surprise mixes that fit from seemingly different places. I get emails from cooking sites and my Senators and Congressman, and I will reply when I agree and when I disagree. I am passionate and compassionate. Between working for my clients and giving time to the hospital foundation and Rotary projects I stay very busy. Being self employed gives me some time flexibility. I enjoy sports of most kinds, though those with motors don't excite me.
I like the company of an intelligent woman. We don't have to agree on everything, I welcome insight and another viewpoint. I'm not into astrology but am a Capricorn and do have the traits of stubbornness and fierce loyalty (I find it interesting that stubbornness has so many redundant letters and that onamonapia doesn't sound like it means).

Just for fun, here's a short story. "Make me ONE with everything" was the request from the Budist Zen Master to the Hotdog stand attendant. The hotdog maker hustled to meet his patron's request with ketchup, mustard, relish, meat sauce and onions. As he handed it over with a napkin, the Budist Zen Master gave him a twenty dollar bill. The attendant graciously took the money, stuffed it in his apron and went about his business. A bit taken aback, the Budist Zen Master politely inquired, "But sir, what about my change?" The hotdog man paused for a moment, turned to his inquisitor and said,"Ah,......................................... ............... change comes from within!"

Meet single man from Colorado, United States. Friends describe me as an easy going steady guy with a good sense of humor and a kind heart. I love living in the mountains and feel really fortunate to be able to enjoy such a high quality of life. I love doing most all of the outdoor activities that living in the mountains affords- skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, xc skiing, snowshoeing, xc skating. I believe in staying fit, eating right and I work out or get out regularly. I'm looking for someone who enjoys a similar lifestyle and I believe that couples that truly enjoy doing things together are most likely to stay together. I'm not looking to live life on the edge in terms of extreme sports and I'm not looking for someone to compete with. We have a saying around here that new knees don't grow on trees. I love music and especially love hearing live music at small venues. Local spots like the new PAC3 in Carbondale and the Wheeler and Belly-up in Aspen are great venues that bring in some great acts. I enjoy everything from bluegrass to jazz and everything in between except probably hip hop (but even some of that can be good). I couldn't imagine life without music. I play acoustic guitar and have a ways to go to get good. I love good restaurants with someone you enjoy being with.
I know good communication is key to a creating and maintaining a good relationship. Couples need to meet each other half way and be willing to fine tune things along the way. I express how I feel and want to find someone that does the same. I also think a strong physical connection creates the passion that also keeps relationships strong. That's another reason I think it's important to stay fit, active and healthy, healthy physically and emotionally. I think were all a work in progress and hopefully we're all trying to become better as we learn from our experiences. I'm not in to drama or mean people. I'm looking for a long term relationship. I think that begins with friendship, shared interests and communication.
