-In my undergrad days I spent a summer providing medical relief to children in a rural village outside Tegucigalpa Honduras, where old abandoned church buildings and dusty elementary schools classrooms became our makeshift clinic. I loved everything about it: stuttering in Spanish, eating mangoes off the trees, navigating mountainous in old rickety buses, chatting with adorable Honduran children- everything!
- I think parenthood is one of the highest callings, and really look forward to the day when I can raise kids of my own.
-After trying to scuba dive in a swimming pool for the first time (thanks to Groupon) last weekend, I'm feeling inspired to buy more living socialsgroupons to try new activities because it was so much fun...
At one time growing up, my two obsessions were gymnastics and music: I played 4 instruments, and was way into band camp. I also loved gymnastics until age and injuries made it difficult- so now I just watch the meets - for sure I'll be watching the Olympics
I was born in Santa Clara, raised in San Jose, and my family's been living in the US for many many generations, so I unfortunately neither speak not understand any Asian language. I'd like to think I appreciate authentic Asian food, but like Panda Express just the same =P
I inherited my love of country music from years of listening to it while fishing and camping with my dad as a child.
I like trying new restaurants, and like most things ( my favorites are Italian, Indian curries, sushi, and Mexican food) except for raw onions so if you like them, then great! you can have mine :)

I'm into health and fitness-- I always make time to run and work out. I prefer home-cooked meals over processed meals, but will occasionally eat junk food to break the cycle. IРІР‚в„ўm a neat person, but not too extreme. I love laughing and deep, meaningful conversations. I prefer comedy/action movies over chick-flicks. I am pretty much versatile; will try everything at least once, so long as it doesn't violate anything ;). If I am not outdoors, staying indoors with a dvd will work for me. Anything else, I can pretty much adapt to with ease. I believe laughing relieves all anxiety (so if youРІР‚в„ўre not a cook, at least make me laugh! ;)
I'm a very patient person and will let petty things slide through (especially if you are the significant other) because I don't believe in unnecessary stress. I will not tolerate inconsiderate and or rude individuals.

I like to think that I do a good job with balance in my life. I can appreciate nice things, but don't let them define me. I like to work out and stay healthy...but it's not something that I obsess over. I love to laugh and have fun. I'm pretty social and love meeting new people, but I am also happy relaxing at home. Family is very important to me, without them I wouldn't be where I am today.
I'm just as comfortable at a sporting event as I am volunteering at the Gentle Barn (look it up, it rocks), or at some snazzy restaurant in Beverly Hills. I'm referencing LA because I recently moved from there. Have been in San Jose since October. Been pretty occupied with work but hoping to make some new friends to explore the area with!
I am completely willing to make a complete fool of myself if it will cheer someone up or make someone laugh. I've got a bit of a crazy side...in a good way of course.
I'm happy staying in watching a movie, or going to some crazy hip trendy art show, or camping under the gorgeous night sky...or ...whatever. I just love to experience life and all it has to offer.
