I've revised this little essay three times now, trying to show what I'm really like--each time with no success. I think it's because, like everyone, I'm a complicated combination of qualities that are hard to pin down in black and white. Or else, when they passed out the gene for writing in a natural way to sound like an actual person, they skipped over me. I envy you folks who can do it. But anyway, it seems to me that it takes a face-to-face meeting and some back-to-back conversations to really determine if two people make a connection.
What I am able to tell you is that I'm someone who loves her family and friends, regards life as a great adventure, and is just looking to increase its joyfulness by sharing some of it with someone special. You probably know the old saying about sorrow shared being halved and happiness shared being doubled.
As for what I'm looking for, the characteristics that spring immediately to mind are kindness, intelligence, and a sense of humor. I believe I can promise the same. I'm hoping to establish an exclusive relationship with a compatible man, though not one that involves living together.
