My friends tell me that it's a shame that I'm single. So I'm taking their advise and trying something new.
I'm pretty laid back and can roll in shorts or jeans, but I like to dress up too now and then. I'm honest, intelligent, organized, creative, adventurous, kind, supportive, patient, a good listener and a passionate person. I do enjoy a little sarcasm more often then not. I hope to find a man who does not mind being teased a little, as well as being able to dish it back too. Even with my fun-loving nature, I am a well grounded person. I am focused on my family, friends and responsibilities, like many of you guys are. I have traveled a little, but I dream of cruising around or touring through Italy, someday before I retire. For now, I'm hoping to find my "best friend" and soul mate to do all that traveling with. I grew up on a midwest dairy farm with simple and basic needs. I know what hard work looks and feels like. Love isn't supposed to be hard, but we do have to work at making it grow or it'll fither and die. I grew up in a loving home. My parents still hold hands when they walk together. I've survived divorse in the pacific northwest suburbs and grown stronger. Now I have a pretty good idea of what to look for and fight for. . I am a well-educated, professional woman who is pretty and self-supportive. I do not want to be the bread winner and the sole supporter in a relationship. I would like to date someone who is educated and enjoys getting out once in awhile. I am not a pawn or a stepping stone between relationships.
My friends and family say that I'm quiet at first, but once you get to know me, my funny personality comes out. I do have a sense of humor (actually need one to teach middle school) and I love my job. I also teach courses at a local coimmunity college and love it as well. My 3rd job which is totally different from the other 2 is working for a major blues singer. It's a refreshing change and I get to meet new people, travel and most of all, I am close to this singer and his wife.
I am blessed to have a great kid. He's smart, so smart to be in his 3rd year of college at the age of 19. Maybe some of my teaching has rubbed off on him.
