Meet a soulmate from Sun City, United States. I'm a happy person content sometimes to have a leisurely breakfast (caffeine a must!!), and to putter around making phone calls and setting up my day. I'm competitive and enjoy bridge and Scrabble for the excitement, but also dancing, sightseeing, traveling, and working out at the fitness center. If I lose the ability to do all the above I would still be content with the world of books. This year I've read 1-2 books weekly....fiction and otherwise. I am affectionate and have been told that I have a very warm personality. I like to present an inviting ambiance and well organized home...music, wine, and sometimes the smell of a meal cooking and more.
I volunteer through the Assistance League now and also helped in the local school's reading program until funding was cut. I'm not overly involved in my children's lives, though I do try to attend the local grandchildrens' school and sporting events and celebrate the milestones. I believe that it is the parent's greatest achievement to raise independent, well rounded offspring and then to start having fun! We can't expect our grownchildren to help with the empty nest syndrome can we?

My favorite foods include ethnic dishes, and lots of fish (except certain shellfish). Of course I enjoy the plain dishes most of us were raised on. Trying new "hole in the wall", or out of the way restaurants and experimenting with new dishes would be fun with the right partner. I also like to occasionally splurge on fine dining. A simple dinner and a great comedy or adventure movie is my idea of a good time. As for spectator sports, I've only recently tried to really understand football. I'd like to be able to watch the weekend games with my man. As a retired nurse I'm very aware of a man's state of fitness and other health habits and can't get excited about excess weight and poor posture. I've traveled some in Europe and the Mediterranean, but not too much in our forty eight. Among the things I'd like to see are Washington DC and the Smithsonian Institute.....oh yes, and some of our national treasures and battlefields. I'm still adventurous and curious. Are you?
