I served my community as a volunteer fireman for 28 years and was a supervisor of my township for 24 years. Also I was a member of the local Lions club for 25 years. In addition I was active in my church. After 35 years as an insurance agent for Illinois Farm Bureau, I retired. My wife died from Cancer on December 14, 2000.
