I mean fishing around for some way to break the ice just ruins it for me. Most of my girl friends in the past I've met through friends or experiences of mutual interest. Date someone special from Arizona, United States. Hey my name's Nick and I am sort of blown away that i am sitting here writing a help wanted ad for myself, but my friends chipped in and here I am. I am recently divorced. So I still kind of timid around women. I haven't had to do that thing called dating in a while. I am old school in that I am not looking to just just in and lock down. But I don't want to see 4 women in one week either. The first thing you need to know is I have three kids, two boys and a girl. And yes she is a daddy’s girl. I was always taught women should be respected and so I treat her like the princess the she is. They are what I live for now. So now that you looked at my pictures and decided to read on (that’s right, I know how this works), let me tell you about myself. I'm one of the nicest guys you'll meet. I'm smarter than a 5th grader (and the guys that wrote the show), I am loyal, honest, a hopeless romantic (but still a realist). I am a bit of a dork inside, but am a very well socialized dork. I'm also a great listener. I'll nod my head, say important things like "aha", "no way!", "really?!", "you're right, she's a total b…!". :O)
What else? I am devoted to those I love, namely family and friends. They know they can always count on me. Love all animals, but especially dogs. I am a Christian. I don't go to church as often as I should, but it’s still an important piece of the puzzle for me. I’m very open-minded, I have friends from all walks of life (different nationalities, religious beliefs, sexual orientations). It’s difficult to offend me and almost impossible to make me angry. That doesn’t mean I don’t have conviction, however. When I know what the right thing to do is, it’s virtually impossible to make me change my course. I focus on others more than myself, not because I think I’m less valuable, but because I see so much good in people. I stay active by jogging and exercising at the gym, and when the weather permits (or if I decide to drive), hiking and camping.
Music and movies are a big part of my life. My favorite movies are the ones that make you think, like a good drama (Crash, Magnolia, American History X, Schindler's List), or a good hero movie (Braveheart, Gladiator, The Last Samurai). I don't watch serious movies all the time, I have to be in the right mood for those. The rest of the time I'll watch a good action flick (and an occasional bad one too), a mystery/suspense/sci-fi movie, and I'm always up for a comedy (I've seen too many to have a favorite, but Supertroopers is definitely up there). I also like some romantic movies, like Serendipity and Love Actually.
So what am I looking for in a girl? Someone who takes care of herself, but doesn't obsess over it. Doesn't smoke (or is in the process of quitting) or do anything else that voluntarily destroys her health. She's feminine, but not a princess. Loves people and animals, very compassionate. Wants kids (or has kids), but doesn't lose her identity in being a mom. Always willing to help. Speaks the truth, but in the most nourishing way. Doesn't get angered easily. Has a great sense of humor. Forgives readily, but doesn't trust blindly. Keeps her word. She's someone her close friends know they can always count on. Always looking to learn new things and grow as a person. Can get along with almost anyone.
