Date someone special from Haines, United States. If you're checking out my profile from distant lands, well thanks. I keep busy with family, work, and friendships, but I'm envisioning someone of my own to love and be loved by, and the reality is she probably lives far away. Our small town has a lot of awesome, off-limits women who are in the middle of their own busy family lives. I'm envisioning a girlfriend who likes to do things with me like cycle, walk along a river, dream and plan, tease and laugh, advise, touch and be touched, and share friends and family.
I'm optimistic, poetic, intuitive, philosophical, empathetic, youthful, generally smiling. I'm a carpenter, artist, musician, writer, architect, engineer, builder, teacher, always learning new things. I tend to look for the best in people, forgive easily, and can mix with lots of different groups and find common ground. Both at work and among friends, I'm in demand as a problem solver and innovator, especially with a new project. Thanks to growing up in a large family, I can play many roles, depending on the need; I am a good employee, good boss, a loyal friend, and supportive father to my grown son and beautiful, confident teenage daughter who lives with me. I have a brotherly relationship with my ex, who lives far away. My friendships have generally been project-related, but I'm working to broaden myself by doing more things that I want and need for my own life journey.
I'm not looking for a woman of any particular age, rather hoping for someone who matches me in youthful outlook and body, regardless of actual years. I've always appeared younger than I am. I matured late, and my aging seems to always have been gracefully slower. I'm tall and slender, very strong, and healthy. My legs and arms are long, which has suited me to biking, but not to finding clothes that fit well. Good nutrition is important; I'm a true omnivore, but I prefer vegetarian. I keep up with my young friends in work and play. I place solidly in the top half in bike races of all ages and abilities. Recently, I cycled solo from Canada to Mexico, camping out and averaging 90 miles per day.
I'm from NM and AZ but have now lived in Alaska most of my life. I have lived a cabin lifestyle but am ready to start over and put all my energies into a new vision. At the moment, my belongings, businesses, and property do not dominate my life. While it would be easiest to find a girl who is "free to a good home" , I'm willing to relocate for the right person.
I find any woman I love to be beautiful; but we all know the attraction must be mutual and the chemistry must be right for the relationship to work. I don't put much hope in long-distance courtship for testing that chemistry--a single kiss tells more than a hundred letters.
I tend to shine best around someone who is funny, outgoing, and naturally happy in most environments. For a girlfriend I need someone slender, physically fit, with a self confident and sexy attitude who enjoys laughing and has a nice, confident touch. I like a hard worker, a resilient woman who likes the outdoors, dogs, children, and has retained some of the confidence and tom-boy outlook of her girlhood--someone who likes to be close physically and can communicate within that closeness.
