I really never thought that I'd be looking to meet someone through an internet dating site. But with work and day to day life, there don't seem to be a lot of other opportunities, so I'm giving it a try. This describing myself and talking about who I am feels sort of odd and I'm not sure really what to put here. I'm pretty open, if you have questions and would like to know more, feel free to contact me, that might even work better!
So, how can I best describe myself? Perhaps if I describe some of the things that I do and I don’t believe in?
I believe in – good and in evil; gravity; respecting others; saying Yes/No Sir or Ma’am; wishing upon a falling star; honoring elders; friendship; forgiveness; defending those that can’t defend their selves; learning from others; that children are to be treasured; manners; simple politeness; meaning it when you say that you’re sorry; admitting it when you’re wrong; being a good loser; playing fair; that love is a gift; that time can heal a hurt if we let it; giving help freely; that the sun will rise tomorrow; in the K.I.S.S. theory…
I don’t believe in – the Big Bang theory; flying carpets; blaming others; that time ever stands still; talking horses; emails that bring calamity if not forwarded in 1 hour to 132 people; taking credit for someone else’s accomplishments; that I’m going to win the Publishers Clearinghouse sweepstakes; rudeness; that life is fair; backstabbing; penny stocks; that the secret recipe for Coke-A-Cola is locked in Fort Knox; that Elvis is living in Minnesota…
I am looking for – someone who is confident and has both a sense of humor and a sense of adventure; a person who isn’t afraid to try new things; a woman who stirs my mind, my soul and my passion; a lady in most situations; a woman to be my friend first that likes me and that I like; a lady that challenges me to do better in all things; someone to wake in the morning with a cup of coffee in bed. I tend to be reserved at first, certainly not shy, but I watch and listen. Probably a by-product of my career(s) through my life.
Someone asked me to name a famous person or a popular character to compare with who I am looking for. After giving it some thought, I've decided it would be Fiona, from Burn Noitce, because face it, every man needs "a trigger happy, ex-girl friend" in their life at some point! :-)

If not, then we are simply kidding ourselves. My company was murdered a couple of years ago & I found a better slot overseas. Go figure? Now, I have more time at home than ever & enjoy it to the fullest too. Looking for someone to enjoy it with.
