I'm currently in the Army for the next year and a half until my contract expires. I've been fortunate to have had a great career so far as an officer but I've reached a point where I'm looking for some stability in my life and also I've gotten to the point where the jobs I have to look forward to aren't all that much fun but more desk type jobs. I have deployed twice (once to Afghanistan and once to Iraq) and had the privilege of leading Soldiers during both but now commanding a desk isn't all that attractive of a proposition so why stay in and be unhappy?
Some more about me, I like to stay active and live a generally healthy lifestyle with the occasional splurge of unhealthy food. I enjoy working out (mostly crossfit, so I hope you're not turned off by calloused hands) playing sports (golf, softball, football, baseball) and also like to play guitar. Mind you I said I like to play but I will not admit to being any good but I'm taking some lessons to get better at it, it's just a good way to unwind at the end of the day and actually learn something new. I enjoy the process of learning how to do new things so I'm normally buried in a "how to" book on the weekends to do something around my house. My next big project is to redo my cabinets and maybe my kitchen counters.
I enjoy going to concerts and sporting events. I'm a University of Miami fan (my hometown) and support my hometown teams when I can. I guess you could call me a die hard fan but not an obsessive one. I'll watch the games but if there's something better going on during that time I'll get the updates on my phone.
As for what I'm looking for is someone who is honest and has a good sense of humor. I'm a glass is half full kind of person and attack life with a positive outlook and want someone who doesn't get super depressed when something trivial doesn't go their way. A good relationship is built on trust and understanding of one another and a realization that it's not always puppies and sunshine all the time but issues or things going on in life can be worked out together.

I'm looking for a woman who is working to be the best version of herself she can be, because that's what I'm doing for myself. Exercising together (running, sports, etc) is important to me, as I push myself through weight/running training to participate in sports/events.
