I was married and lost my husband 18 years ago and although I have had some great guys in my life, none of the relationships have completely clicked. Now that my daughter is getting ready for college in the next 6 months to a year, I recognize the fact that I want a companion now more than ever. I am not a needy person and I work a good bit, but ideally would love to have someone to wake up with and go to sleep with at least a few days a week. I do not drink because I have found that most of the situations I have been in that weren't to my best benefit involved too much alcohol and that tends to make people use poor judgement. I don't mind someone who drinks socially but will not tolerate drunks.
Ideally I would like a man who is energetic and likes to travel and try new things. I really am not that difficult. I love the finer things in life and have been fortunate to have alot over the years but I am just as happy being at home.
My main objection in a relationship is someone who is a control freak. I am a free spirit and my personality doesn't deal well being controlled. I am fun...playful...love people and don't generally meet a stranger...I probably could be considered a flirt by some, but I am just an open book.
