Date single man from United States. I'm the kind of guy that what you see is what you get. All my words, actions, and affections are sincere and genuine. I refrain from saying things that I do not mean. Likewise, if I say it, I mean it. With that said, I love to laugh and have adventurous (legal) shenanigans. I believe that life is too hard and too short to take yourself too seriously. I also enjoy new experiences with friends, old and new.
I am looking for someone that will be similar enough to be compatible but different enough to be interesting. Someone that can find humor in all situations is someone I would enjoy spending time with. Honesty and cheerfulness are both things that I appreciate. I also find that I relate well to people who have a realistic view of the world around them.
Birmingham was my home until I moved to Marion 7 years ago. My house was neglected for a good while before I bought it and I've been working on it ever since. I think I'll have something when (if?) I finish. If you are a carpenter, painter, electrician, or magician - that's a plus!
My job of nearly 21 years is in Bessemer and I drive in every morning. Books on C.D. help during the hour drive. I enjoy my co-workers, even though some of them should likely be institutionalized. None of them, or their wives, seemed to know any datable ladies so I wound up here. This experiment has taught me I fear only snakes...........and dating.
Hunting is not a passion of mine, but I like to go to the range and shoot. The last time I went hunting was to a dove shoot a couple of years ago and I had a great time. So did my dog, especially at the steak fry afterwards. My dad and I used to go tramping around Civil War battlefields before he passed on 5 years ago. Those were good times also.
My daughter is 19 and in college. She has lived with me the last 4 years or so. She is gone so frequently now that I sometimes wonder if she still lives there. That's about the time I find a clue (trash) and figure it out.
