Meet a soulmate from Huntsville, United States. About me... Hmm, I originally had an eye catching opener, like "I'm the best thing that'll ever happen to you! Just ask if you'd like to know how...;-)"... Definitely an attention-grabber, but it's a bit arrogant so let's try something different.
The best way to describe me... hmm, people seem to have a hard time with the word “introvert”, so instead let's just say I'm an inherently independent guy! You'll know that much within a few minutes of knowing me! I enjoy going out with my closest friends every once in a while, chilling at a bar/pub or bowling or whatever, but I do truly value my time to recollect and recharge on my own. I think life's too short to always be waiting to do the things you want to do, whether it's exotic stuff like travel or simple stuff like just treating yourself to a really nice meal every once in a while. And life's entirely too short to wait on other people before doing what you want. My mantra these days is, “Just get up and do it. End of story!”
A few of the things I like to do (at this point in time...)... I've been mountain biking recreationally for several years now and really enjoy it! I'm trying to get into road biking this year, riding at least once a week, especially now that the weather is so great! For a while now I've been bowling in a couple of leagues... And I have shot a 300 (total score over three games). ;-) Actually, I'm do shoot a bit better than 100 points a game, thankfully. I've struggled with bowling for a while recently, but the struggle has taught me a lot about focus, quieting the mind, and playing through difficult conditions, good lessons for life in general . I know you ask, who needs to focus during bowling??? It's amazing what a quiet mind can do for you, though. The other thing I enjoy is volunteering with Habitat For Humanity... don't ask me to build a house for you or to hang some cabinets in your kitchen, but I think I can hold my own on very simple projects. :-) Oh, and one other thing... I'm working on my cooking skills... slowly but surely working my way through a couple of cookbooks with a good level of success so far! I think I've mastered a fusilli pasta and meat sauce (from scratch, not canned) recipe. There's more to the list of things, but I'll save those for another day.
So, who am I looking for? I used to think I needed to rattle off a long list of things that I'm looking for, but does finding the person that's right for you really need to involve a checklist a mile long? The primary qualities I'm looking for are a bright and forward-looking outlook on life, even-temperament about her personal and professional lives, and a willingness to try a couple of new things every once in a while... She and I should become companions, partners, supporters in each others' lives. Enjoying some of the same activities and interests is always a plus, but it shouldn't be a prerequisite.
