I am definitely a half-full kinda guy. I love life and see it as an adventure! I am not talking about just the extraordinary situations; I am talking about the mundane as well. Every moment is a new horizon for me. When I walk in the grocery store I am excited about who I might see or meet. When I travel, the world unfolds and shows me even more possibilities. I love to laugh, learn, explore, play, and make a difference in the lives of others. I'll try anything at least once as long as it doesn't require me to be high in the air for an extended period of time. I'm not really scared of heights - just falling!
While I am open to anything, I do not think you have to spend a lot of money to have a good time. Truly I am more content sitting on a mountain side painting, taking a walk on the beach with someone I care about, or hosting a game/movie night with friends than clubbing or going to a five star restaurant. Not that I would never do those things... it just isn't necessary.
I do not take myself too seriously and I prefer to be with others who feel the same way. I choose to be pleasant rather that controlling. One of my favorite movie quotes is:

I love most creative ventures - I love to draw, paint, play guitar, and sing. I would like to learn to dance - but presently that is not one of my gifts. I am also a bit of a technology nerd – I love tinkering on and in computers.

My faith is the basis for my entire view of life. It is why I choose joy everyday. I believe God has a hand in our lives and He directs us where we need to go if we allow Him to. He has blessed me immeasurably. I have a great family, a job that I love, and the opportunity each day to make a difference in the lives of children. (I am an elementary school principal) Don't get me wrong.. there are still days that I would like to be an astronaut or a Navy Seal - but then that whole "repelling from a helicopter" or "orbiting the planet" thing, might tap on my fear of falling. I will say, however that there have been many days that the principalship seems a little like a land assault.
I guess I am looking for someone who loves God, loves to laugh and has the same lust for life that I have.
I would hope that her sense of adventure comes from inside and is not dependent on her circumstances or any other person.
I would want her to be open minded and willing to allow people to follow their faith where it leads them. I typically do not enjoy being with people who feel that they have all the answers. I know that I don’t.

I am not necessarily looking for someone to marry but the idea of sharing time with another person and being a witness to their life (temporarily or permanently) is exhilarating to me.

It seems that the people whom I've become involved with have had more issues than the magazine rack at Barnes and Noble (that's a joke...please laugh!) I've got a wonderful daughter, and the two weekends a month that she's with me, she takes absolute priority. I guess if you can't handle that, you probably don't need to look further.
When my daughter's not with me, I spend a lot of time watching TV, surfing the internet, and listening to music. My interests are fairly varied. Although I'm one of the biggest klutzes in the world, I'm a big sports fan. I enjoy watching college football (War Eagle!), and I was a die-hard Braves fan before it became cool to be a Braves fan. My music tastes are all over the band, but I'm a big fan of '60's, '70's and early '80's music...all the stuff I grew up listening to. Music is a big part of my life; my undergrad and graduate degrees were both in music, although I'm not doing anything professionally with either degree.
